Re: Get paid for a vehicle

Do not accept that form of payment it's not safe for a vehicle / motorbike.

The payment methods accepted for buying vehicles on eBay UK include: Cheques, Money orders, and Bank wire transfers.

This is made after inspection and collection of the item.

Hi thank you for your reply  So they cannot pay for vehicle through eBay Am I right in thinking They would need to turn up in person and pay for it

Re: Get paid for a vehicle

It's cash on collection or bank transfer for anything like that.

Any other way is unsafe for you as the buyer could do a chargeback later and you would have to prove delivery via independant online tracking to fight it.

I don't think Parceforce would be able to deliver it 🤣

Re: Get paid for a vehicle

That is correct.  They need to buy the item from your listing, only after purchase are you allowed to exchange all contact details,  and arrange for your buyer to come and inspect , and if all is OK,  they pay you cash, or by cheque or by bank transfer on collecting your motorbike.

If they don't wish to buy after inspection they walk away not paying,  and you can relist the item again if you wish for sale.

The Classified ad llisting fee is non refundable payable sale or no sale,  similar if you listed your bike for sale in your local paper and it didn't sell,  the paper would not refund you,  your advertising fee.

I'd be a little wary of this buyer wishing to pay by PayPal, there's no method anyway for the to do this,  and sending a courier would raise red flags for me.

I would be tempted to block them from returning.

If you wish to,  block them here:
