I have a Xiaomi 14 Ultra running the latest HyperOS 2 (Android 14). I cannot install the eBay app, getting the error message in Google Play as shown below. I have another identical model phone and eBay installs without a problem. Any ideas/solution/workaround gratefully received as I use the eBay app a lot. Many thanks!

Fortunately someone on the Xiaomi EU Forum recommended APKPure. I downloaded that (using Google Search rather than Google Play). Installed and searched for the latest eBay app. Installed perfectly. Everything working fine now.

This is eBay's latest announcement on the updating of the app.
As part of our latest update, versions 6.191 and older of the eBay app are no longer supported by devices not using iOS 17 and Android 10. Earlier operating systems date back several years and are now no longer able to support the latest eBay experience.
To update to the latest version of the eBay app, please follow the steps below. If you’re unable to update because your phone is not using iOS 17 and Android 10, you can still continue to use eBay via ebay.co.uk on your mobile or desktop browser.
How to update your eBay app:
iOS:
If your device has iOS 16 the app store will say you need iOS 17, but it should still download a version to your phone that allows you to keep using eBay via the app.
If you are unable to update to iOS 17 and do not currently have iOS 16, you can continue to use eBay via ebay.co.uk on your mobile or desktop browser.

Make sure you have the latest version of Google Play Services and Google Play Store, or you may not be given the opportunity to download the latest available version of the eBay app.

Hi 0134*walker, thanks for your post.
If the devices are identical, they're probably running different software versions and that could be causing the difference. If you click here, you can see what versions are supported and which ones aren't for Android. Then you can see how to install them as well.
Hope this helps,
Marco

I don't know how to see if my Google Play is the latest version, or find the build number. Come what may when I type eBay into the seach bar it tells me that the app won't work on my device. It would have been much better if it condescended to tell me WHY it won't work, but that is too much to ask.

Many thanks, I have done all this but it still won't accept the eBay app to download and run. I even tried downloading an eBay APK, which installed, but then told me to update it, which I could not do.
