Problems with eBay app.

Just had the £5.00 off offer if I installed the eBay app on my phone.  Downloaded the app, selected my item, but all I got was a "Thank you for your purchase" pop up.   

I was not linked to the payment screen and for the life of me could not see any way to got to that screen and make my payment.

Finally gave up and purchased te item for fulll price on my PC eBay account.

Anyone else having similar problems with this app?

I've had the same issue! Refusing to buy the item I wanted to buy without the £5 off, I'll go to Amazon instead 😂

I've just had this same issue.  Got a popup with a QR code to download the app.  I already have the app installed but followed the link, opened the app, went to check out on my basket and absolutely no sign of the £5 off.

Tried uninstalling the app then reinstalling it following the link and still no discount.

I'm over the £50 minimum spend and have 3 days until the offer expires, but I can't even get the pop-up to pop up again so I can investigate further 😞

They made me download the app for free £5.  

I found the coupon but it only applied to purchases of £50 or more.

Yes i just discovered the same needs to be over £50.Oh well will be buying elsewhere now.

Where on the app did you find the coupon please? I can't find it on the app to see whether mine's applied.

Yes, I did the same. You have to copy the code at checkout. I did, but wasn't told I needed to spend a minimum order of £50. Will uninstall app now and go elsewhere. I like clarity - this isn't clear on app. So annoying

I constantly have problems with the ebay app. When I open it the ebay logo comes on screen but it does not launch / connect to the app. It drives me nuts.

Same issue but £10 discount not obtained. Also one

parcel not received. Raised claim. Seller told ebay delivered. True but not to me. Evri's photo shows delivery to goodness knows where. Ebay said good enough and dismissed case. No refund. No parcel. Member 18 years. 500+ purchases. Advise caution using eBay now. We bought elsewhere.

Downloaded app now deleted, no doubt there are some rules attached not openly advertised.

I got a pop up yesterday for a £5 discount  using the  app..downloaded app but do not see any £5 discount at the  app checkout..item is over £100 so i am guessing that is not the problem.. small print says promotion ends on 10th January unless they have ended promotion early?

Well if it ended on 10th Jan, they're still very naughty in initiating the pop-up offer!  I just saw it, again!  But it doesn't work, as no code was offered to apply, & no ts & cs, nowt, so I've simply uninstalled the app. They're not getting my data for nothing.

Same happened with me. Absolutely fuming... 😡 

Look at the date. It was valid to 24 January but didn't work. 😞
