Ebay is ignoring my request for assistance in having a counterfeit handbag refunded.
My wife has an original of the bag this was to have been a replacement - when it arrived it was clearly a fake.
They actually closed my request for assistance without explaining and are also ignoring all of my queries as to how they allow fake times to be sold without recourse to the buyer.
I see others have had this issue - can anyone shed some light?
How did you ask for ebay to help? Did you pen a Return Case? If so and the seller does not accept returns then the case closes.
You should have opened a Not As Described Case!!!!
Your last chance is now a Paypal Case, there you must escalate by day 20 and you will have to pay the return postage.
Getting it right with ebay and the seller would have had to provide a Reply Paid Tracked Label.

The point is that it is a counterfeit item and that should guarantee my funds returned. However, that is not the case - they simply closed the case. Now, are you suggesting I try a not as described? How is that more powerful than using Ebay's own Counterfeit guarantee that if a product sold is counterfeit they will ensure the funds AND postage is refunded

As said by @john1297576 You opened a straightforward Change of Mind Return Case. You should have Opened an Item Not As Described Case. Is no good throwing Fake accusations at Ebay. EBay don't actually see the Items Sold on their Site. Buyers Shout Fake all the time without any Authentication.
Just noticed that you are Based and Registered in Australia. Log out of EBay UK and back into your own Site. Ask on their Community Boards.
