Are ebay allowed to give out my telephone number to buyers and sellers without my permission?

I currently have a return case with a seller.

They have been contacting me on my home phone.

They say they got it from ebay.

Are ebay allowed to give out my home telephone number like this?

you gave permission when you signed up to use ebay

sellers are given your name, address, email address and phone number when you purchase an item.

Well - both ebay and paypal deny that they gave out my home telephone number and in fact deny that they ever give out email addresses or telephone number - but mine were given to the seller - he sent me a copy of them - so either ebay or paypal are lying to me.

when you buy an item the seller is given those details, I know this because I am a seller

they have recently changed the rules so they don't give your full email address, but they provide a way for the seller to send a message to your email address
