I've tried every which way of making the "UK Only" filter work for search results (including clearing the cache and restarting the browser - and even clearing the system cache more aggressively using Bleachbit as Root) but it seems to be broken now.
The problem has arisen during the past day or two - since the redesign of the results headers where each criteria group is condensed into a drop-down list. Do the designers not test the pages before they go live? This really is a very basic failure - perhaps you should ask me to test the new code before it goes live.
Running Firefox 27.0.1 under Ubuntu with Adblock Plus.

Hi @oldexplorer
We are currently working to fix an issue at present where global items are being returned when members choose on eBay UK and UK only.
Thanks,
Alan

eBay's loose use of 'UK' seems to allow lots of sellers from the Far East to slip in through "UK Only" searches, so I always use the option for 'item location' within 200 or 250 miles of my postcode.

Hi Alan
Just to let you know that's not the only glitch in the searches.
Setting a price range: if you go to alter the price range, eg reduce the higher amount, it then loses loads of items completely.
eg -set the max to £40, it shows only items from £15 something (including postage).

Thanks @aernethril I'll be sure to pass this on to our Technical Team who are working on this.

Alan

Hi Alan. In case nobody else has made you aware of it, there's yet another problem with the site that needs to be fixed urgently. Over the last couple of days I have found that the site will just lock up for no apparent reason, and once it does so everything on the site becomes unresponsive. The only way to get eBay back to normal when it does this is to crash the computer and reboot it, then log back in again. This is a right nuisance if you're trying to bid on something and there's not much time left. Before you tell me to clear caches, check for malware, run a virus scan on my computer, etc, I have done all of this already and the problem still persists. However, I do not have this problem with any other website I log on to - just eBay, so it must be an eBay-related problem. The fact that I can also run a separate search by opening Internet Explorer again while eBay is playing up and log onto, and use, any other site without running into any kind of problems would further support the probability that it is not down to a problem with the computer, but down to yet another unfixed problem with eBay.
