I don't know where else to post this or whom to contact, so if anybody can advice, thank you:
I almost lost my eBay account today because of the poor service from the help centre.
A criminal tried for the 5th time in 2weeks to hack my account. The person somehow contacted eBay on an online chat, help line (don't know how, because I could not find such a service), convinced them he/she lost their phone and all their email accounts were hacked. So asked eBay to send a reset password to an un-verified email account. eBay did so and the criminal took over my account.
When I received the chat transcript, send to MY registered email address, I phoned eBay, and they informed that my account is scheduled to be deleted!!! Why would a criminal steal your account only to have it deleted??
I had "two factor authentication" enabled, and it helped nothing.
Good bye eBay, I can live without you!!!!!

That's pretty bad even by ebay's standards.
As you are still up and running I take it your account wasn't deleted?
I should think what happened was, too late ebay realised the account had been hacked and deletion was their way of dealing with it. Did you manage to talk to them about it?
