Yes, I contacted them many times, by phone and emails.


 


That was only the start of my problems with them. In the meantime they also provided my date of birth to the criminal, he just asked for it, 1 or 2 "chat service" operators refused to give it to him, but eventually one of them did.


So, eBay TOLD the criminal what I was buying, they gave him a reset password and my DOB.


 


This was after I requested for my account to be closed, I can not even now see or change my own details any more, because of the closure request, the account is locked for 30days, but they can still see my details and hand it out to criminals.


 


The best part is, in the user agreement they state that they are not liable for any lost of personal data.


So much for all these data protection laws.
