Hi, sorry if not the right place but can't really ask this in buyer central. It's to do with women’s briefs sizes.
I buy a lot of ex store briefs on here, as it's a lot cheaper than M&S. I have had a problem recently where I bought a pair of briefs in my correct size but they tuned out smaller, than the original from M&S.
The seller has been helpful and sent me another pair and need to return the smaller ones.
On receiving the new pair, its only slightly bigger than the first pair the seller sent, but not as large as the original I have from M&S.
We measured across the waistband.
I'm size 22.
Original M&S is 42cm. 16 and half inches.
First ebay pair from here, 40cm under 16 inches.
Replacement, 41CM just over 16 inches.
I know sizes very but could someone on here, maybe who knows a lot about clothes, thell me the correct size for a 22UK?
In cm and inches please.

Can't answer that myself (haven't used M&S for years) but try asking your question on the next board down (Family Home and Garden) - the ladies there may be able to help.

My experience of buying briefs from most places is that they often come up small. I am dress size 8-10 but wear size 12 or 14 M&S briefs depending on design.
All my other clothing is size 8-10 so I've never really understood M&S knicker sizing!

Thanks but I may get into trouble if I double post, so hope they see this thread at some point.

I haven't really had a problem when buying direct from M&S. The problems are, ex store.
The problems seems to be ex store is basically rejects and that's why I think we have problems like I have.
Still would like to know what clothes sellers think a size 22 should be, across the waistband.

That is the problem, so many that has different sizes. I was hoping from a person's experience perspective.

You are losing out on a lot of money. Larger sizes are in demand.

There are no standard sizes for clothing, manufacturers decide for themselves hence the variations.

I have found that anything in a sale from any company is wrongly sized. I've learned from experience and empty bank balances, that you need to try stuff on to be totally accurate. I've taken chances on ebay and been lucky, and the opposite too.
I would expect the size chart Petal put on would tell you the exact waist size of size 22.
good luck!
of course....you could go without...............................
