That was a nuisance.

The electricity went off for a minute.

Thank goodness for the auto-save in Word.

I'd just stopped "work" for a coffee and to read the news so I didn't lose anything.

There's no storms here (at the moment) so I dunno what caused that hiccup. There's loads of alarms going off round here, glad the nearest one to me was quickly silenced, the owner must be home but others are still making a noise.

Ah, but they got struck by lightning?

That was a nuisance.

Well now, I'm out with the dog, over a mile from home and I heard a burglar alarm go off and kept on making a racket. It went off and started again. When it did it again I thought they must have had a power outage in that area.

When I got home....... Black screen. Yep, power had been off here too. Round here, the power lines are set up so that if there's a problem, it's restricted to a small area so this must have been fairly widespread.

Nothing lost, just a nuisance having to start everything up again.
