What if?

OK, so no-one wants to argue any more but what if.........................

A couple of years back referendum was called about either staying in or leaving the EU and the majority voted to leave. Since then arguments have raged back and forth and the remainers are agitating for another referendum.

What if they had another vote and this time the result was to remain BUT, then the leavers started agitating for another making claims for this, that or the other? Would the remainers claim "We had a democratic vote so that's that, we remain IN".

We had a democratic vote before though? The result of that was to LEAVE so if a second vote went the other way would any notice be taken of leavers wanting yet another?? If not, why not?

Shouldn't a vote on something be IT as regards any result not a cause for those who didn't like the result to agitate for another? Where does it end?

By that reckoning it could result in a parliamentry vote for a constituency which ended in a close vote for one person then having those opposed to then claim it was "close" so they demand another go? How many "go's" do you want?

A party IS it's supporters. I can assure you that I am not delusional....I am a realist. I see what is happening in this country and I foresee what is likely to happen in the future. Most people who worry about immigration do the same. That does not make them racists. The UKIP party is undergoing some turmoil at the moment..as are the two other main parties. Some members have left...including Nigel Farage. I am not a member, but I do know people who are, and I can assure you they are not racists.

As for being delusional..I think that people who are happy to allow continued unfettered immigration are delusional. They fail to think about the services that these immigrants, and their children, and their children's children will require. They live in fairyland where every problem solves itself. Wake up!

I am not aware of a detailed study, but certainly using a few basic statistical ideas some indeed may have fears albeit unfounded about resources etc. Some almost certainly dislike anything they regard as different

Mr Farage knows all too well what agenda he is pursing

The best quote at a local election was when the incumbent had switched to being the UKIP candidate and a voter who indicated the UKIP candidate must be better than the previous  MP at least, whom he considered awful, apparently unaware they were the same person

Isn't it high time people realised there are (at least) a couple of different sorts of immigrants?

On the one hand there's those who come here either with something to offer or learn to offer and become positive members of UK society. They want to be British and are truly grateful for their lives here. They don't forget their origins but they don't try to impose their previous way of life here. Some older immigrants have become as British (or more so) than "genuine" British. They live, speak, dress and carry on their daily lives as British as the British.

On the other hand there's those who come here with the sole intention of getting whatever they can (for nothing if they can?) and either send it back "home" to relatives or send it back with the intention of going back there to reap their ill-gotten gains and lead lives there as "rich" people. Some have absolutely nothing to contribute here, have no intention of contributing anything, they don't integrate, don't speak the language (English), don't mix, have no intention of mixing and really, they create their own corner of their countries of origin here.

Now which of the above is racist? Both? Or does it depend upon which "group" you'd support?

So not those who lift their stories from Notverybrightbart, or infoflaws then?

Or is Theresa May responsible for global warming, the fire on the USS Forrestal and the Turkish partition of Cyprus?

My dear millennial once again you are so wrong, if you bothered to read a few more of my posts you would have seen that my father is a Greek Cypriot, or that dealing in Anerican cars I have been to and spoken to more Americans than you have had big Macs', but do keep up showing the millennial mindset.

One thing that puzzles me...the population of the UK is well over 66 million. Can someone explain why we have to import people to be doctors, nurses, carers, fruit and veg pickers, etc. We have enough population to find suitable people. And we hear it constantly in the news..'but we NEED these people to run the NHS etc etc. We don't need them..we need to train our own people. Truth is..the government likes immigration, in spite of so called targets to reduce it.

Yet another waste of talent there from the landsman factory. It is typical of what they wish to serve up to divide and rule, momentum is no different to UKIP or other fringe groups all they do is criticise and tell us how stupid we all are, and of course that the grass is always greener in Venezuela, No mention to those animal lovers about the need to eat there own pets for protein! If socialism is the panacea that we all seek why are there so few examples of its success anywhere! Ambrosia in my book ends with rice pudding not with the country being led by a guy who has never held down a proper job and has spent his life sucking up to tin pot dictators as well as being an anti-Semite.

As for pets, JC has always been a supporter of the socialists in Venezuela the fact that they have rampant inflation and terrible poverty as a result along with people eating their own pets rather disappoints does it not? Can you perhaps tell me how qualified you think the shadow chancellor is to take control of our finances given his track record in London please?

There's unfortunately an attitude here that everyone wants "the money" but no-one wants to do any work for it, they all want to be "bosses".

In times past, Blue collar workers were well paid, White collar workers were seen as a bit of a drain on the company's resources and were not so well paid. The Blue collar "men" were seen as the cream of the company because their skills earned the company "the money".

Now, those getting their hands dirty doing the work are regarded as a "necessary evil" and are really, not so well thought of.

You mentioned doctors and nurses, well, here the Health Board management comprises 75 people. Who the heck are they and what the heck are they all doing?

You need to do a bit of reading on Venezuela and what the yanks are up to in that country

Joe I am well aware of the role of the US in South America as a whole and indeed the fact that the current president is a prize prat. So I hope that is clear, I am also aware of the role played by corrupt politicians particularly within third world and poorer economies, some of these have been fascists and others communists, The problem I have here in the U.K. is the absolute cultism associated with JC as if he is some kind of messiah, he is followed by those who believe that others owe them a living rather than they themselves getting off their backsides and doing it for themselves. I do believe in social security for all who genuinely need it but not for those who aren’t prepared to help themselves. What constitutes a living wage? And how do you control inflation? How do you remain competitive? Why is nationalisation so important. The best way of getting the best deal for anyone lies with incentivising them, however that may well be a blessing for the fit young buck but less so for the older workers and the disabled. These are the questions that politicians fail to answer and address. We can chuck out skilled workers from the defence industry in order to pursue pacifism but what happens when we are subjected to abuse by a rogue state or states, and so on. However as a Gammon myself I am feeling more and more disenfranchised in the country that I call my home and by those who continue to seek power at any cost at a time when our nation is at a serious crossroads! This is how politics plays out in modern Britain we are all being told what to do, when to do it and how to do it! Buzz words like bigot, fascist and racist are bandied about casually oh and misogynist whilst our children are encouraged to choose their own gender long before they are entitled to vote. Where will it end?

Don’t read the daily mail or any other rag tbh, It’s a shame that you choose to ignore the thoughts of others in favour of your cultish behaviour towards Corbyn, and as we are in questioning mode how about you telling us what makes the shadow chancellor so well qualified to be put in charge of our finances? And also what has John landsman Done in-his life which has allowed him to become so influential On a party.
