Warranties and guarantee's mentioned by ebay sellers don't often mean anything.

You have 30 days from latest estimated delivery date to raise a claim via Ebays money back guarantee (see top right on almost all listings) and you have 180 days with paypal if that's how you paid but neither will get involved with warranty or guarantee claims.

If you in time with ebay you should open a claim for "item not as described" and escalate it asap and ask Ebay to step in.Ignore seller completely (fake promises) and continue with claim until you get a refund.DO NOT close any claim until you are happy as you cannot open another if it all goes pear shaped.

If battery was bigger than the original you should have done this straight away as it is obviously not the correct replacement.

If you fit a battery that is bigger than original it's liable to rub and eventually rub right through and cause a leak ,it can also cause an under bonnet fire.

So all I can do really is put a bad review in. I feel like there are some failures in the way it's been handled. I may accept a cheaper solution as they have not helped me properly on initial purchase and false advertising. I'd like to have eBay looking into all correspondence and make there own assessment. The battery I bought was expensive the one they are now saying is for the car is cheaper. I feel a bit tricked.

To you and all car diyer's I got caught with a warrenty a few years ago. Purchased a radiator for my car from ebay, because it was £10 cheaper than my local motor factors.  After only a few months it started leaking so I refered to warrenty  which cleverly had this written in it. Unless l could provide a letter from a garage stating it was fitted by a quailfied mechanic, there was no warrenty on the product .

So in the end lost my money and still had to get one from my local factor, but at least l can take it back if its faulty. But that's Ebay for your, you live and learn, distance purchases  puts you far away from being able to throw it through the shop window(lol) .
