If I had to call the Police I would insist that they don't send PC "Kelly Claim" as I don't want to get sued !!!

Yes love. I can see it soon on the insurance policy that the holder will not be allowed to phone for police help as it might make the insurance invalid.

Of course the Police Federation supports her, it's what she pays them to do with her subs, like her, it's just looking after itself - the rest of us can go to hell!

I would think that if payment was coming out of their reserves there would be no encouragement at all.

Oh nearly forgot thanks pet #2. ;\.... 😄

Prof Stephen Glaister, of the RAC Foundation, said that although forces may be acting within the law, “creating a 'cash for crash’ culture doesn’t sit easily with constabularies’ civic duties”.

Scotland Yard accused LV of misinterpreting the data, saying it did not sell details to compensation lawyers or claims management companies. “As would be expected, every road traffic collision is investigated by police to see whether any offences have taken place and reports are filed as appropriate.”

Fife Constabulary said the fees were to cover costs, as did Hampshire Police. “The alternative would be spending £480,000 of taxpayers’ money on vehicle recovery on behalf of insurance companies.”

A spokesman for the Association of Chief Police Officers added: “The suggestion that police forces sell details of people involved in road traffic collisions with a view to making a profit is entirely false. Following a collision, the police will arrange for vehicles to be recovered from the road where they cause obstruction or danger.

"Fees charged for this service are set by law and they avoid costs falling to the public purse.

“In cases where solicitors or insurance companies, acting on behalf of individuals involved in a collision, request police reports, then an administrative fee can be charged, again to recover costs for this service. “

Yes! Inevitably someone or some will be killed in those ''crash for cash'' death traps. And then they might act?! From what I have seen of it it's a miracle that know one (that we know has?!) has so far.

Someone with a heart problem would not be considered by these potential killers. Then how would they know?  And why would they care?!  A suspended sentence perhaps?!

Thank you bankhaunter.

Well, how I wish so much I had been so wrong.    R.I.P. Baljinder Gill.

Well what esle can you say except had they acted she might still be alive. This stuff has been going on for years and years. If they risk the life's of completely innocent people and it goes wrong they deserve a whole life sentence on hard labour IMO. Once again they have a choice, the victims don't. I would'nt mind one bit if they hanged them.

Cat fleas seem to love me and I do my best to avoid them but for £8,000 they are welcome to a slap up candle lit dinner every night for a week.

:^O

But seriously ...........

And we are expected to respect our police force? X-(  And the legal profession?

Compensation is supposed to be a (proportionate) recompense for loss, injury, or suffering.  Did the flea bite result in septicaemia and a leg falling off? Was the policeman unable to work for a few months and also deprived of sick pay?

How on earth can someone equate a flea bite with £8000 of taxpayer's money?

I'm gobsmacked and otherwise speechless.

All that we are is what we have thought.

Well where is the evidence?

At least we see the highly dangerous totally inappropriate lethal kerb ;-).

We the public pay these bills and should see the evidence that should have been kept at the time no matter how small or big it is. And was he the only one in this highly infested police station bitten?!

West Midlands Police said: ''Details of injuries and payments are often more complex than statistics or brief detail suggest.'' Yes BRIEF!!!  The long arm of the law would not be so brief  for us.

And hardly complex is it - the damn bites were or were not on him? And he could have if they were brought them in himself.
