Well done Sarah Olney of the Lib Dems
In the first salvo in the fightback against the Brexiteers
A very Popular Tory MP has had a 20000 majority wiped out and lost by 2000 votes
Only one reason for This = BREXIT
The Two thirds of the Population who did not want Brexit are prepared to cross party lines to change the idiotic mistake made by Cameron
Be careful Theresa May - Listen to the People,
The real voice of the UK Population spoke last night - not the noisy rabble
----------------
Trouble for Labour is UKIP have listened to what the disenchanted Labour voters were saying and are playing on their fears
New Labour is seen as too London centric (soft Tory) and Corbyn and His Leftie chums seem more interested in fighting Old Red Flag 1960s battles, than actually listening to their core Voters and fighting for them, instead of fighting trendy causes in this Country and elsewhere in the World
Look after and keep Your Base happy, then You can fight other peoples battles - something Diane Abbot and her ilk, have never seemed to learn.

Not quite as simple or representative as you make it sound IMO.
Zac Goldsmith took the seat with a large majority campaigning against Heathrow expansion (adding an extra runway).
This area of SW London was heavily pro-EU before and during the referendum.
Sarah Olney has trumped him by being anti Brexit and anti- third runway.
So not an example of the electorate changing its mind at all.
Again, only my opinion but if she had stood on a pro-EU and pro-third runway ticket she would not have got in.
As I said on a previous thread, the next General Election will be very interesting. I'm sure many will vote outside the traditional party loyalties but it will be the un-democratic remoaners who will be losing their seats. The longer they continue their delaying tactics the nearer they are getting to the election which will be decided by how the leaving process is progressing. Legal challenges and foot-dragging in Westminster will, I think, result in a clear out of pro-EU MPs.

2/3 rds of the population who didnt want brexit, hmmm, not sure about that.52 % who could be bothered to vote cast their vote to leave as opposed to 48% who voted to remain.I never hear anyone moaning the results of a general election, the Tories barely had 37% of the vote (or using your way of calculating support barelty a quarter of the electorate),so 63% didnt vote Tory.Yet the conservatives get to hold the reins of power and set policies that affect everyone,be it taxes, austerity, cutting benefits for the disabled, cutting services and giving tax breaks to the rich.Maybe we should just have general elections continuosly until someone recieves over 50% of the vote(last time that happened was the 1931 general election)
As for supporting Brexit meaning a standing MP losing their seat, the opposite could be true. Many of the labour heartlands such as the North Of England voted in some cases 70% to leave.Yet the standing Labour MPs more than likely supported remain,so they could lose votes to say UKIP.Even my area which has been a safe Tory seat for 30+ years, and is classed as a semi affluent south midlands constituancy voted 58% to leave.
The referendum wasnt just about the EU,it was a protest leading from a modern society that has over the course of a generation or 25 years become more unequal and divided, with rmore and more people struggling.Back when I was kid in the 80's it was unemployment that was the main problem,as long as you had a full time job,you could enjoy a decent standard of living. These days having a full time job can mean you may struggle just as much if not more than someone unemployed. The problems are also generational, many times recently ,it has been stated that todays younger generation will be the first generation in over 100 years who will be poorer and have worse living standards than their parents. In some parts of the country, particularly the sourh east and London,a young couple could both have university degrees and good jobs where they are both earning slightly above average incomes.Yet they cant afford to buy a property, can only rent a rabbit hutch, and cant afford to have children and raise a family.yet their parents could have had no university education, have less skilled jobs, yet they could afford a house and afford to have children.Hardly what you could call progress is it

Have you watched a documentary called "The Flaw"? I've thought for years that the way things have been going is wrong and this program explained why, giving numbers, dates etc. as to why we are in the state we are. Without resorting to conspiricies or "The New World Order" type of thinking.
Be warned though it is rather long and information dense so is not a light watch. It used to be on UTube and Netflix but I don't know if it's still there. Well worth watching IMO if you can find it.
