I've always admired your Dame Edna Everage never frightened to speak her mind, but what can you say about your Cultural attache sir Les Patterson ? He does for diplomacy what our Ian Duncan smith does for compassion.I can imagine Abbot handing out "awards" a bit like Blair and Cameron have,How long before you have Sir Rupert Murdoch ?

I think some of our contributors have shown our esteemed visitor from down under that mostly, they're only interested in mindless trivia and Socialist propaganda instead of reading the bigger picture surrounding the news? mrcool

The bigger picture is the World News rather than just the sensationalised, blinkered trivia contributors here seem to see.

Some are saying that it is taking us back in time etc, but I like the concept.

I'm not too sure about the incoming Governor General (our Queen's Representative) being granted the title automatically upon aquiring the position, I'd like to see if they do a good job first and not have it as a fringe benefit for 'getting the job".

But I agree with our out goping GG being "Damed" (what do you call it when you make some a Dame?). Quentin Bryce has served us for a long time and has done so in a dignified and poised manner. A lady certainly deserving of the title and a perfect representative for the Queen
