Me three.  Taken about 4 hours this morning.  Think it's Friday Morning Syndrome with eBay.   Worst I've ever known it though.

After not being able to connect with eBay I Googled it to see if anyone else was experiencing the same problem. There was ~ hundreds, if not thousands. All were having similar problems. Some even said the USA and Australia are down. Others were hopping mad because they had auctions ending today and couldn't deal with them. Somehow, I don't think it was just maintenance.

EBay users lose out on sales and are locked out of their accounts for hours as 'site maintenance' overruns

  • Site has been experiencing problems for a few hours this morning
  • EBay could not say when the site would return to normal
  • Users took to Twitter to vent their frustration at the lack of information

EBay users are experiencing problems using the site due to 'scheduled maintenance'

EBay users are struggling to log into their accounts and access areas of the website after ‘scheduled maintenance’ on the site overran.

The homepage is currently experiencing problems, and other aspects of the site are working only intermittently.

The maintenance work is global and so a number of its sites have been affected, according to eBay.

A spokesperson confirmed that the problems were due to 'scheduled maintenance' and had nothing to do with hacking.

This was the longest outage I've ever known on ebay.

When the new platform first went live in Ca, I said that on the old platform, each post took about 150 lines of code but on this platform, each post was over 800 lines of code. No-one else seemed to notice.

More to go wrong? OR, should that be "many more places to look to try to find the error if several changes have all been done at once"?

So thats 2 days now, that when I press

'sign in' just under 'The Round Table' at top of board (not top of page)

I get signed directly in, without the pop out box, where you enter Userrname & password.

Is this the new norm ?

FGH page?  Why the fk can't people just speak clearly (Sorry, very psd off by ebay 'sign-in' at moment.) No idea if this FHG page is of use, but not saying what you mean on a community help page can make your post a bit pointless...
