I'm being driven crazy by these damn pop-ups that sit in the bottom right hand corner of my computer. With increasing monotony I keep getting one from aol - aol protection it says, and no matter how many imes you click the red X to close, it doesn't! I used to be on aol but kissed them goodbye after no end of trouble with my server - sometimes it stays there for two minutes sometimes for nearly half an hour, and it couldn't be in a worse possible position - it prevents me from clicking "next" when I'm trying to put stuff up on ebay. I've been forced to turn off the computer and start again before now. Why the hell do they keep pestering me - I'm with BT - not aol, and yet they won't let me go. I HATE the company. You can't even contact them to complain about it - doh!

Apart from using Firefox and adding Adblock plus, have you tried calling AOL? 0844 499 5555 ????
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

Well, there IS one way to do it, but it's somewhat drastic. It involves a ceremony with 1000 VooDoo priests, and they all have to fit into your living room...
