48 HOURS!!! Over the ''inevitable'' ticket office closures. What will it achieve do you think?

And are they being considerate to their customers AGAIN?

Well it's usually at Christmas, so they can all be at home enjoying it

While so many of those who pay them their vast wages suffer. Or is that still to come too?

And at an average of £50 million each day ... again, and again, and again, and again.

What might we have done with that money?

Oh well, at least it brings full automation, even nearer. MUGS!!! IMO.

I tell you what they should be worrying about..........it seems EVERYTHING I buy........yes, practically EVERYTHING; is made in China. With wage bills being the largest portion of ANY Firm / Company's outlay, we ALL should be worrying about how we are EVER going to compete with people on 50 pence an hour; who are producing just about everything we seem to need or want.

Well... with the politicians over the last at least 20 years, we should and still are worrying about everything, it seems.

Yes... I take your point we should be worrying about China too. Of course that has been going on for many years.

Worry, or at least concern, for some. May be on MY topic too? It has been quite serious for some.

Yes, I did mean my comment to address your concerns also; my point being that striking because of Ticket Office closures ( I guess to protect jobs ) is "Small Potatoes" compared to ALL the people who could and would do the job for less money.........they should be worrying about that more.

Always find it hilarious when the Londoners lose their beloved Tube due to strile action, these will be the same people who will be all over the media, complaining about staffing levels, if these changes come into place.

You always find it HILARIOUS!!! Well why look at the bigger picture then? We can all just laugh...

The strikes cost London £1bn, the Conservatives claim. (think of the massive help that would have been to the NHS,) We can also ask what was achieved? And what makes it ALWAYS so hilarious?

The £1bn loss, was over the six years. There were 30 days of Tube strikes during 2005-11 costing London about £48 million each. (now two more next Tuesday).

IMO It's inevitable, and they will. Even the very, very well paid Tube drivers should allow very generous management to manage. And one day they will have too. Oh dear so, so sad. They wont be able to hold their wage payers to ransom anymore. Well full-automation, will mostly deal with that
