Thank you for the link.

I knew Raju had been rescued and thought he was safe now.

It’s heart breaking just to think he could go back to that living hell.

And some may remember Raja, the baby elephant who died alone, chained to a tree, crying for his mum. A thread was started on here about a year ago.  My life after what Ghandi said ... what on earth is the matter with these people?

Yes... I remember their great leader Mohandas Gandi.  Who said you can judge a country by the way it treats it's animals.

You would have thought in light of these past and present horrific abuses that most would have got the message?  Even their government.   And in particular their dear Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

I think we both know the answer to that! I thought I'd heard that Ghandi quote before:

http://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/The-Round-Table/Angel-of-Romania-Appalled-by-treatment-of-3-million-s...

I wonder why that Ghandi quote is never trotted out when discussing animal cruelty in the UK?  I'm sure it's not the case, but anyone could be forgiven for thinking post  #5 & the "Romania" thread is more focused on demonising the residents of a particular country, rather than animal welfare.

Well I would normally ignore. But not this FOUL stuff.

I see this comment a hours ago. But decided rather than report it it was best for a few others to witness. What the moderators do now is of course entirely up to them. I believe you are out of order on drawing attention to long gone thread to try to discredit me. Then that's been a habit of yours.   Once again on a thread that deserves respect Mr bookhuner (or long ago thread hunter) searches way back in the hope he (and his mate) might discredit me. I think that yet again you have achieved just the opposite Man Wink

'You think you both know the answer to that! I thought I'd heard that 'Ghandi quote before' you say. And you will again if I think it relevant. I will not be asking you or your mate for permission.

In my #5 apart from other things which you did not say (tactful editing again Mr book hunter Man Wink)  I say:  ''Yes...I remember the great leader Mohandas Gandi.  Who said you can judge a country by the way it treats it's animals. You would have thought in light of these past and present horrific abuses that most would have got the message? Even their government. And in particular their dear Prime Minister Narenda Modi.

You cannot see, because you don't want see, that I am not  critisising the whole Indian nation. I am though those that can do something but don't.  I was doing exactly the same on my dog thread about Romanian dogs. Anyone who knows me knows that.

But why not TWIST it Mr bookhunter &  MATE Man Wink  And as I said somewhere... would you believe it on a thread like this.

And another thing you did not search far enough back it was ME who started the Raja baby elephant thread. And some will remember your mate was pedantic and said: ''can we really call elephants BABIES''  Man Wink

No!!! I don't want to know anymore, you can have it, and each other.

Apparently using animal welfare & emotive pictures as a subtle excuse to demonise an entire nation? Not once, but twice? Yes it is foul.

As was (ironically) using D-Day as an excuse to have a Mosley-esque mindless rant against immigrants: http://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/The-Round-Table/D-day-70th-anniversary/m-p/3257605#M127953

As was wishing to “fill in” another poster – a seemingly amiable one at that – because he didn’t happen to share your Enoch Powell-esque views:

http://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/The-Round-Table/The-truth-of-the-matter/m-p/3640927#M135152

As was using the victims of forced marriages to have a bizarre diatribe against Romanians:

http://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/The-Round-Table/Forced-marriage-outlawed-And-punishable-by-up-to-7-ye...

I appreciate it’s probably a very long distance for that penny to drop for you, so allow me to put the shoe on the other foot. Let’s say there was a thread entitled “UK Badger Cull” on eBay India. And one particular poster – who has a fair history of demonising Westerners, the UK, Christians, and people who didn’t speak Hindi popped up to post: “You can judge a nation by the way they treat their animals”. Would you think it was their modus operandi with that quote to primarily a) Express their concern for Badgers or b) Use it as yet another cheap opportunity to demonise the UK?

You can’t blame someone for thinking b) - And in your case, particularly in the light of championing a Party with a poor record on animal rights & their environment, yet also renowned for stirring-up racism.  Seems a tad paradoxical.

I’ve added the links and hyperlinks because they validate my points. i.e evidence. Without them I would be making blind accusations which could be interpreted as a simple “personal dispute”, rather than being one of the few to challenge the tedious ongoing problem regarding the Round Table and racism. And yes, I do hope a moderator reads this thread, as well as the other ones I’ve linked above. I make no apologies for my robust tone or level of contempt in any of them. I’m sick to death of racist idiots and their lapdogs using any opportunity to try and spread their vile lies, misinformation, and propaganda – subtle or otherwise. They should perhaps be reminded we are in the 21st Century on a global online shopping site; not Alf Garnett’s living room.

PS: Apologies to the OP for the thread ‘divert’. I know your intentions were genuine, and none of my ‘foaming’ above is applicable to your good self. Smiley Frustrated

Oh dear. I thought you had already dug a deep enough hole for your self. Lets see if you can dig it deeper?

One of the main reasons other threads that you dig up regularly from the past are I believe not permitted because they were dicussed there, and at that time, were discussed in context with other posters comments.

I see you have done it again 3 times! You say you have added these links and hyper because they validate your points. i. e evidense?  Oh really? That might be for others to decide Man Wink So many links of yours WOW where are we?

Without them you would be making blind accusations which could be interpreted as simple ''personal abuse''.  Oh no, surly not from you?

'And yes you do hope the moderator reads this thread, as well as the ones you linked above, you say. And you make no apologises for your robust level of contempt in any of them.'  Now that's a surprise.

You are sick to death of racist idiots and their lapdogs using any opportunity to try and spread their vile lies, misinformation, and propaganda - subtle and otherwise.  And they should perhaps be reminded we are in the 21st Century on Global online shopping site; not in Alf Garnett's living room. Perhaps you too should remember that.  (that bit wont help you at all).

Oh dear, what is the world coming to?  And on a thread like this Man Wink  Now perhaps you might start a thread on YOUR concerns? Where it can be discussed by those who want it.  And you wont have to apologise to the OP.' A little late I  thought.

Incidentally...I was the one who started a thread sometime ago praising  Tariq Jahan.  A Muslim who lost his son, Haroon, in a hit and run incident during the the riots in Winston Green, Birmingham.

Perhaps you should be careful of what you say Mr Bookhunter.  Your solictor type posts do become a little boring old chap.   My #11 I certainly make NO appology fot that.

Tat ti bye.

 .

A worthwhile petition OP.

Worthy of note some within the confines of the UK aren't exactly exemplary animal owners either.
One programme on training RSPCA officers, had a camera shot of a man in tears over his dog which had died.
A compassionate owner you might think based on that one shot.Unfortunately the dogs death was due to the same owner leaving it alone for 2 weeks whilst he went on holiday, with scant food and water, such that it dehydrated and died.Who the tears were for, i'm not certain.

I'm sure if the man in question had been posting on a forum, he would have, and possibly still does consider himself as a responsible owner.. Claiming to be a responsible owner, and being one, aren't necessarily the same.
Interestingly some peoples deep concern over animal welfare managed to remain hidden for quite a number of years.

The last CM spent considerable time with certain posters both on and off board addressing the nature of certain posts, and underlining that ebay is a commercial site, frequented by many from all different backgrounds, and gave directions relating to that supplementing bup and cv.

A very long history of posting large numbers of threads direct and indirectly, aimed at certain minorities, is hardly outweighed by the odd token gesture especially given the timing of such gestures.Perhaps some far right fruitcake forum would be a better venue for those

Concerning Mr Farage and ukip, I doubt it will bother him much.If you can cosy up to the A Beivik fan club , obviously a bit of illegal poaching wont concern him much.

Man LOLMan LOLMan LOL  Yes, the inevitable has arrived and on a thread like thisMan Wink

I'm the only one really laughing here Man Wink

You two should separate. You make an awful mess of your attacks!

I spoke the truth in a few words. And I figured you would come up with that. (took one hell of a time) and Is that all?

Unlike your mate I  did not bring up loads of links and hyperlinks.  No, just a few words on what you said.  And the absolute truth. That's not TRYING to discredit you.  It was a fact that you did it your self.

Now it's very unlikely I know but I think you both should leave this thread with the respect it deserves. I will.

And leave to others who may want to respond positively. It was your mate who started an argument NOT me.

Oh in advance yeah, yeah, yeah...............

I thought interpersonal disputes were severly frowned upon - another thread you appear to be determined to get locked!

So do you still support a party that is in favour of legalising the ivory trade?

Waste of time asking of course because I know I wont get an answer!

I knew I wouldn't get a straight answer

"As Ukip triumph in by-election bloodbath: Cameron faces a pasting from defector as shock poll shows Nigel Farage's staggering 44-point lead over the Tories"

"How can this hypocritical money grabbing excuse for a human being show his face and proclaim that Ukip is nasty and unpleasant?"

"Hmmmm Blair, needs to remember that the millions who voted UKIP, are by his definition nasty and unpleasant too"

"No sooner do we think it (he) has gone, he reappears in an even more deadly strain than before in a speach last night with a scathing attack on Farage and UKIP again. Its shameful and embarrassing to think he was once Prime Minister.

I think Nigel, will be pleased that this arrogant selfish er... chap has NOT kept his mouth shut. Almost as pleased as Cleggy, NOT keeping his mouth shut. "

"Right we are out for a beer, just like our Nigel, and most of his 4.3 million voters, (and many more soon) I should think"

"If UKIP carry on as they are doing then we will have the biggest shake up of UK politics since the Labour Party a century ago.  Having been involved(by default) on the sidelines of our local branch I certainly wonder about them. LOL.  But then having also met some of their more successful(politically) people they appear confident and competent."

Where on Earth did I get the idea that you supported UKIP - the party that wants to legalise the ivory trade
