Korea.

The situation is looking like bluff and double bluff at the moment so how'd you think it will all pan out?

Do you think the North will "take it to the brink" before extracting some more "concessions" and after a while do what they usually do, carry on regardless?

Failing that do you think one of them (N Korea or the USA) will jump first?

If Trump jumps first, what do you think he'll do? Just hit a selective target as a warning risking the North launching a large scale attack on the South? OR, do you think he'd launch massive simultaneous attacks all over the North?

If he did the latter, would it be by way of umpteen Cruise missiles, ship, submarine and air-launched plus air-strikes on radar and known missile installations?

If so, they'd have to be co-ordinated so as all arrived in the North at the same time to prevent the North from striking back?

What's your view?

Interesting reading:

http://www.4thmedia.org/2017/04/world-held-hostage-by-american-military-madness/

Whether a nuclear war breaks out within the next few days or not – the despicable fact remains, that the entire world is being held hostage by American military madness.

It seems only a matter of time before the US finally triggers a war with any number of foreign states that it designates as “enemies” – North Korea, Syria, Iran, Russia or China.

Or any other state whom Washington deems to be a “threat” in its paranoid hegemonic view of the world. The common denominator here is US military aggression.

And what makes US military power so dangerous is that the people who run that country are, to be blunt, so stupid – full of their own delusion self-righteousness and ignorance.

As opposed to Kimmy boy who is so rational and sane......You mean !!!

Do you honestly think that the MOAB going off in Syria last week was just to kill 94 isis rebels, It was a warning to him and others that the days of the Obama regime drawing "Lines in the sand" are well and truly over.

The states has ever since Regean was in power, the laser technology to take any of his missiles out before they have even  left the ground.

Mind you,you cannot blame NK or even Iran for wanting nuclear weapons as a protection against the US foreign policies of invading and bombing countries,"Kimmy boy" may be mad,but Trumps warmongering madness takes some beating!

And you base that view on what exactly, all the bile spewed out by the left wing main stream media who have been gunning for Trump ever since their candidate lost the election.

Do you know who funded, permitted, gave access to technology and materials for kimmy boy and Iran to build nukes.

Carter,Clinton, Bush,Obama and the then secretary of state Madeline Albright, all left wing nut jobs.

To answer your question.

The BIG-BIG difference between Korea and America is, as was shown the other day during testing Korean missiles need testing and don't work, but American ones don't need testing and they DO work.

So it's clear who is going to come out of it the worse.

In the event of NK going to war with the US, they might as well not bother turning up. The US, unlike their undertaking in Vietnam would not be restrained by fighting a war with one hand tied behind their back, it would be a very one sided affair backed by the availability of the biggest arms stockpile (nuclear and otherwise) in the world and Kim Jong-un would soon learn that parading down the high street every couple of weeks with his ballistic missiles and flag waving military personnel, won't actually count for much when it comes to the real thing.

My opinion, for what it's worth, is that China will lean on NK to behave itself and not keep trying to provoke the US.

The Chinese are not stupid, they are a wealthy nation and do a high percentage of their trading, with the west. I doubt if they would look too kindly on Kim Jong-un bringing about a war and thereby having a drastic effect on said trade with the west.

Coupled with that is the astronomical financial cost to them if they decided to back NK with military hardware, and personal in an all out war. They know that their financial and business power in the world, would very soon diminish.....................In other words, it is in their own interest to prevent a war that they might however unwillingly be dragged into.

I see this is drifting into a left right argument again! I'm sorry to hiss on your chips boys but both parties are at fault here. NK for putting miles ahead of its people and the US for trying to act as the worlds policeman. What we need is a UN free from unreasonable veto and a resolution that makes Nk desist from its nuclear attempts whilst recognising its people's right ( not its leaders) to a free vote on where they want to be.

Hmmmm, the thing is that as far as the USA acting as the World's policeman, NK has never let up on the USA for siding with the South and when it feels "strong" enough with enough firepower they will launch missiles at the USA come what may.

It might be said that Kim Jong-Un is a deluded madman spurred on by his milatary top brass but he's playing a clever game of strategy and brinkmanship. He doesn't have to do anything (yet) to extract more and more concessions from everyone while he carries on regardless with his nuclear programme. He'll agree to do all sorts of things and as before, just carry on anyway.

The way he's looking at things is that dictators can only go so far before someone with greater firepower topples them so he needs nuclear weapons to ensure that he won't be attacked/toppled because he's gambling that no-one would risk him using those weapons in retalliation for any such attack.

The thing is, we know he has some form of nuclear capability, what he doesn't have (yet) is a means of delivery. He's trying to develop such a delivery system and we don't know (yet) whether those delivery systems for his conventional weapons (missiles) are combat-ready or will actually work. For all we know, all those big missiles on show might just be dummies.

He's got loads and loads of artillery all aimed at the South and should he be attacked (by anyone) he'll open up with all those quite quickly.

In the past, he's been aided by China and if it wasn't for them (the Chinese) the North wouldn't have ended up where they are today after the Korean war.

It seems that he feels strong enough now to go it alone without Chinese backing.

Now, who'd put money on the USA sitting back, puffing out cheeks, doing a bit of pontificating but doing nothing of substance and allowing Kim Jong-Un to just carry on with his nuclear programme?

From Ex President Jimmy Carter:

Pyongyang has sent a consistent message that during direct talks with the United States, it is ready to conclude an agreement to end its nuclear programs, put them all under IAEA inspection and conclude a permanent peace treaty to replace the ‘temporary’ cease-fire of 1953.

We should consider responding to this offer. The unfortunate alternative is for North Koreans to take whatever actions they consider necessary to defend themselves from what they claim to fear most: a military attack supported by the United States, along with efforts to change the political regime.”

As I said before, the North will agree to anything then carry on as usual.

Would anyone expect a closed and authoritarian country such as that to honour any agreement to allow inspectors to move freely around the country?

Some interesting words out of N Korea:-

North Korea's vice-foreign minister told the BBC Pyongyang would continue to test missiles and would launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike if it thought the US was planning an attack.

"If the US is planning a military attack against us, we will react with a nuclear pre-emptive strike by our own style and method," Vice-Foreign Minister Han Song-ryol told the BBC on Monday.
