Or to encourage it? They are on French land. It has long since been that they should have dealt with it.
The waiting game! The reward is free housing, education health service, pensions. And of course a life time of free pocket money. And when they bring their extended family over the same. The UK the promised land. Where the tax payer writes open
cheques for everything. And how on earth can we trust them all? We cant it is to dangerous.

I find that quite astonishing. Why is it that half of the world's population would give an arm and a leg to have a British passport, and risk their lives trying to get one? And yet you hate this country so much. I wake up every morning and am grateful that I was born in this country. And I live in one of the poorest areas in the UK. I too had to work hard to raise my children. My father taught me to be grateful for a roof over my head, food on my plate, and a good family, and to work hard for just that. I did that...and We never had a dog because we couldn't afford one.

Not disputing that though I notice you implicitly accept that we have had some hand in creating the 'mess'.
If the West hadn't got militarily and politically involved do you think we would still be facing the same level of terrorist threat and consequently managed the refugee crisis, (if one arose at all), in the same way?

Is this the way to end the Middle East turmoil?:-

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

It's hard to know what's going to get us all first, but with the options stacking up; personally, I don't think the Human Race have got as much as 200 years left.

My guess is that if anything's going to "get" us, it'll be bugs of one sort or another.
There's billions of 'em and they're all out to get us.

As I said, the options are stacking up.......that's certainly a serious contender. Mother Nature, in all its forms, is one of the major players. Of course, Mankind in their usual belligerent, arrogant and argumentative fashion; think they can stand there and argue with Nature. Nature doesn't sit around tables and reason, or come up with a compromise, nature doesn't talk..........it gives you a warning then acts.

I am grateful for it. Doesn't mean I would take someone else's life for it though. Or think I owe something to some imaginary borders put in place for no other reason than to deny the same to other human beings
Oh dear.
Once again, I don't answer for other peoples comments. I have asked you to read the comments carefully. And rather than focus on me (there must be a reason for that
) for what I haven't said. Focus on the those that have said it.
At your #41, you say: ''The point behind a thread on a public forum is conversation.''
I thought that too. When at your #23 you answered: ''Sorry, I'm on the mobile site, so cant reply to individual posters.'' ???
Never heard of that myself. Never seen you on here before either. Have a nice day
I will be back tomorrow. Probably.![]()

And what would YOU say Tommy? I would not agree with post 46 myself. The US seem to think the bombing is working? They thought that it would in Vietnam. They even sprayed whole forests with plant killer. That was war for you. Bombing will only deepen the lake of bitterness. I must say that we need to update our laws in an effort to deter NOW. Not after what the say will be another attack. Too many daft sentences being handed out. A couple of years for the woman terrorist tweeter for example.
Here have a DROP of poetry:
War. And war some more.
War. And war some more.
No one knows,
What it's for,
War. And war some more.
The images seem
To rule the day,
War and Generals,
All the same,
All the answers,
Seem so lame,
All our reasons,
Gone insane.
War. And war some more.
War. And war some more.
No one knows,
What it's for,
War. And war some more.
Hamilton Sorely.

This is a bit of a cheek:-
"Remember, this is little more than 20 miles from the Kent coast." It's in FRANCE. I read that bit as a criticism of the UK...... The French are allowing it to exist. Those there are waiting for the opportunity to commit an illegal act and haven't they already commited the illegal act of entering France? The French are allowing them to stay there? So, they should disperse them and be done with it.

And we know how well that works!
Travellers squat on a piece of land, the police evict them and disperse their convoys - problem solved . . . . . . . . . . . . . errrr - nope.

Mere
The thread layout is different on mobile phones.
Instead of having a 'reply' link on each individual post, there's only one reply box at the bottom of the page meaning all replies automatically default to the OP of the thread AKA you in this instance LOL... don't get paranoid ![]()
You can't use quotes either (I don't think) so mobile phone users should really name the poster they are replying to in order to prevent any confusion.

The only sane answer is to do nothing if it happens outside our borders although it's obviously a bit late now. Failing that tighten the borders, sort out homegrown problems first and foremost then and only then help others overseas. Liberalism aside any idiot can see things are going to get very bad very shortly whilst those in charge just make limp wristed decisions which Brussels will overturn anyway. If the Tories didn't invite in en masse then stir up those invited in we could divert the war effort funding into schools and the NHS let alone the job market all of which are financially crippled at present.

'He stated that human beings have created this problem'
Millions of human beings came out all over the world to protest against the Iraq war. At least a million came out in UK too. leaders certainly created a problem. Perhaps we need to mention Blair & Bush. Perhaps if these two (like other leaders) had been expected to lead the armies we would have no ruddy wars.
I think we should be concerned that our carefully managed National immunisation/innoculation care plan for our own nationals is not compromised by the hordes who arrive on these shores uninvited.
But it's too late. We have more TB out breaks, Polio and Scarlet fever and and whooping cough and other long lost diseases which haven't been amongst us for years. Tower Hamlets had announced a big rise in TB cases. The Calais camp has a scabies out break.
Nothing mattered more than our leaders acting to deal with this. But they haven't. They sum up their effort by telling us hundreds of thousands of illegals are here and they don't know who or where they are. Job done, their wages paid. And the horse has bolted.
