I don't think that's the way to teach children to learn about life and rules. I think it'll encourage rebellion against what will be seen as "petty rules" throughout their lives.

OK, so rules are rules but surely only "up to a point"?

A lot to think about there.

Some of the rules are sensible,like girls skirts not being too short, especially in a mixed senior school.

sending them home for the wrong socks is just plain ridiculous if it's true.

Parents shouldn't be encouraging their children to defy teachers.

one mother said her child wasn't well behaved and was sent home for wearing makeup and false eyelashes.

Why do they need to wear those for school.

I'll have to have a think about the rest of it.

The school has acted like bullies. It sems there's been no attempt to teach or instruct the pupils on the uniform requirements, they've just strictly imposed hard and fast "rules" and over reacted. That head teacher has a track record for doing the same thing, he's not fit to teach.

His attitude seems to  belong in the 1950s.

I don't understand if there has been so many complaints about him why he is still being allowed to teach.
