Hi, I have a pair of figurines that I need to sell. I just dont know how to describe them though as they belonged to my late parents and apart from being told they were valuable, I cant identify them from the marks on them. Is there a section anywhere on ebay with any experts. Thanks in advance. 🙂

I would advise you to take your figurines into your nearest auction place. They would be able to give you an honest appraisal. It's difficult for anyone on eBay or any other internet site, to assess an item by description, or even a photograph. Best to actually see and feel an item to be really positive about it.

thankyou I know, you are right. Unfortunately I am in a very rural area and nowhere near any auction houses which is a bit of a pain. I need to sell them, but dont want to misdescribe or under value them really as I know they are worth a bit. ... and I have a big bill to pay so needs must... arghhh..

Have a look if the marks are on this website. They look German to me, but I'm no expert on porcelain.

I will have a look. I think German or maybe Austrian/Italian too. Thanks for that link.

Problem isn't so much value as desirability. Sadly such figurines have had their day. That said you may get lucky, at least they dont say made in China.
