Charlie, I bought them in the green about 5 yrs ago, but every yr there are just a handful of leaves and maybe one flower, if I'm really lucky. So, last yr, while they were in the green (well, as much as they managed to be), I moved them to a spot that is a bit sunnier and more reliably moist ... and this yr, they haven't even bothered sending one leaf up! 😐
Pfftt!

Don't give up yet, Caution,:-x perhaps you could put them in containers?
By the way, does your garden have chalky soil?
Most snowdrops are not fussy regarding soil conditions provided it does not dry out in summer. They would struggle in dry shallow soils over chalk.

Shows also where to see some gorgeous snowdrops too. 🙂

Caution ever few years ou should split snowdrops up or they get to crowded and thats why they dont grow to well.
Yes you'll have the leaves but no flowers. They grow blind.
When you've seperated them it may take 3 - 5 years befor you'll see flowers.
Dont worry to much.

Morning all!
*notes Bill is already here*
*most impressed*
Thanks for the snowdrop advice, Charlie and GC. I'm on clay, so that shouldn't be a problem. I hadn't divided them ... cos they never really formed a clump. 😐 Just the odd leaf, here and there.
Might try again with some fresh ones this yr.
