Good morning Margie, Sun's shining (in between the clouds). I dunno about the wind, I'm just off out so I'll see?

Good morning
Still very windy but sun is out after overnight rain.

Morning Margie, looks like all that's left on here is Good Morning", "Goodnight" and the occasional giffer?
It's been Sunny and windy but every now and again there's a very light shower, just enough to wet the ground again and stir up the mud from the left-over gritting!

I have tried to expand the conversation without success

Yes, so have I but it's a losing battle. Often, there's loads of views and no replies!!!

Ok lets try again. Anyone recently had Physio ? I went for another session yesterday.
Do all Physios think that people in their early 60s or older are contortionists? As i told him yesterday "i doubt if i could have done that move pre accident ! "

Rather you than me, people in to that sort of thing really do think everyone else can do it "if they put their minds to it". I think they're out of their minds for thinking that?😀

One of the funny parts was.......he told me to sit on a hospital type bed which he raised up into the air.
He was getting me to push against his hands to test the strength in my legs etc. Then he said to me ok you can get off there now......my response was "you expect me to jump off of here?" lol
Then he lowered the bed right down again which went with a right clonk....jerking my poorly hips and back ! He was so apologetic!
I told him i aint paying £80 a time to have further injuries thank you 😁

£80???????😨 Are you mad? £80??????

Nope not mad just needed to not wait months to see a physio and start a treatment and recovery plan. To be fair the Physio was/is very good.
Its £80 for 30 mins but i squeeze them to 40. The Physio works out with me lol
I am having a review every 2 weeks or so . Recovery is anything between 3 and 12 months depending on how often i can do all the exercises etc
This is what happens when one fights with a trolley and loses!

Phew, that's extortionate. Remind me of what happened to you? You were most unfortunate?

In a well known supermarket (one of their superstores) the Monday before Christmas.
The trolly just randomly locked up and stopped as shot. All 4 wheels locked with no warning.
I didnt stop 😞 My hips are the exact height as the handle across the trolly so i hit that and jerked my back. I guess one could describe it as a bit like walking into a brick wall 😞

As to the Physio yes expensive but not extortionate i guess.
We had to make a decision....go privately or wait for an appointment on the NHS in several months time.
We chose the former in the hope that my body will be sorted quicker.
Physios can say exactly what muscles are in difficulties and help with exact treatment. Personally i do not think it wise to leave injuries for months before professional intervention.

Good morning all
Still breezy and a strange sort of light.
Looks like it could be snow or heavy rain.
My doctor sent me for a physiotherapist appointment, only took a few days.
Unfortunately she had no more idea than I had why I was seeing her.
As I need knee replacements physio isn't going to help.

Sorry to hear about your knees 😞 Any idea what the waiting list is which i guess depends on what part of the country one is in ?
My son made me laugh this morning when he called me "a tired older" grrrrrr
My mother always said to me "You will be kicked into old age kicking and screaming " she was right !

Goodmorning Margie & Shirl. That there Margie's been aprhensive about getting her knees done, time she went before it's too late.
As to your trolley "locking up" Shirl, it wasn't one of those with a brake on it was it?

Nope. They have sensors on the wheels to stop you basically taking it out the store and part of the car park and then just dumping it somewhere. Other supermarkets tend not to have them on the trollies. I am becoming a bit of an expert on supermarket trollies lately lol
I was pushing it in the store. Someone came over and had to zap the wheels about 6 times to unlock them.

Interesting, which store was it? "T", "M", "Al", "As" "L", "S"or......??

Good morning all
No, just running late. 😁
Quite a pleasant morning, sunny with a light breeze and not too cold.
