Now that we’re legitimate again, we could use a place for folk to post pics, graphics and animations that they’d like others to see. And this could be the very place.

Just tried again as both the icon and browse button were in place.

Clicked the icon and it came up with a box asking me for a source. Typed in lots, including C drive, PC, filename, but nothing worked

Tried doing it through the browse button, but it came up with a red alert box and told me I don't hve the privileges to allow me to do that.

I then went back in to try again and the icon and browse button have disappeared again.

I give up!

try suggesting switching poot off and on, or, reloading or fixing Firefox, or being unkind to me.

Try clicking the icon first to select add image before typing any text.

But you're right, it does seem inconsistent.

Just tried that

Clicking the icon just brings up a box that says "Insert/Edit Image"

I then gives 3 options:-

Source - All you can do is type something in there, no upload functionality

Image description - Again just a text box

Dimensions - Again 2 text box which probably rquire numbers relating to the size of the image. Followed by a tick box for "Constain proportons"

If I type in anything ie computer; C Drive, the image name etc. All tat appears is a strange washed-out meaningless icon. Then whe I click OK it tells me I don't have the necessary permissions to do that in a highlighted red box at the top of the screen. Next time I go in the icon and browse button are not there. I did post a small video direct from Youtube using the HTML tab above, but images I can't seem to master

The browse button allows me to look up on my PC. I can then add any image I wish and it appears, but does absolutely nothing

With text such as this, all is okay  ........

Just had a thought. I'll post this and then try.

The initial posting in this thread by the OP has a strange icon and that is the one I get

I even tried to copy and paste the "strange image" direct from the OP's posting and it won't even let me do that

This is what comes up when I select insert/edit image icon.

I've just posted this using select/edit image icon, browse, it let me search for the folder/picture I wanted and selected it. Then post.

as for the boxes I tend to get all the different ones randomly and any time so just have to go with the flow xxxx

That all makes sense, but mine's nothing like that.

Oh, the icon and browse button were available 5 mins ago when I first tried to post this reply, but it told me the same old "not enough privileges" and now they're gone again

I would ask customer services, but from previous experience of them, I'm more likely to get an answer from the local cat
