Gifs, pics and graphics

Now that we’re legitimate again, we could use a place for folk to post pics, graphics and animations that they’d like others to see. And this could be the very place.

There’s only one rule. . . . . . don’t break any of the rules. Happy posting!

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

I didn't even know, there were that many game consoles. Wouldn't mind that TV...

*Bunny, just had a read on imgur, images can be private, since the might be removed when not viewed at least once every six month it is usefull for posting on forums , but not really to store photos...or, does an upload count as viewing, do you know?

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

I'm not sure Dixie, never gave it a thought.

It seems a pro account for storage is best but free is my thing 😄

See attachment.

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

What counts as an image view? Every time an image is loaded, it counts as 1 view. This includes images that are hot-linked or embedded on other sites. The views are not unique, and even count when you refresh and the image has to load again.

Do you understand that?

If an image is uploaded to this thread for instance, but drops off the page, is it still 'embedded' when the thread is viewed?

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

Ta, Bunny. So far I am not too unhappy with PB. But imgur (never guessed it is pronounced imag-er) has cool photos and gifs.

Say, Bunny, did I see right,  do you have PS CS5 ? ;\

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

That's what I am not sure about either, once the Gif Thread switches onto next page, I don't think, images on previous are refreshed, unless someone reads back....

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

Lol, I love eggs but they don't agree with me...gives me stomach cramps 😞

That's what I was thinking regarding viewing pics...have to be on the loaded page.

Yes I do have PS CS5, son 'got' it for me 😉

There's so much on there, it would take an eternity to learn it all!

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

Love fried eggs, can't be bothered most of the time 'cos of smell + greasy pan, do boiled egg in special little cup with lid in microwave every day...

"Got" PS CS from collegue 3 years ago.... Had 5.0 + 5.5 before + was perfectly happy - lol. probably only use 50%.

"Gimp" is supposed to be equally good, have it my Linux PC, but never even saw "layers", it looked very basic to me...it probably needs someone in the know to explain...

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

Did that the other night, had cat created in "Pivot" a while ago, animated it in "Stykz", the files are interchangeable, which is useful.

I think I managed to disguise the fact, the second hindleg was at an angle, but with no moveable  joint...doh.

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

Yes I've still got PS7 and like you quite happy with it. Use it sometimes for Image ready actions which CS5 hasn't got 😐

Fried egg on toast with brown sauce, yum!!

I still eat eggs but not so often...just have to put up with stomach ache, worth it though.

I downloaded Gimp ages ago but got rid soon after, can't remember why ?:|

I'm crap at walking/running animations. No idea where the legs go, lol!

Ooooh I just remembered, hubby has a book with different body angles of sportsmen with still frames pics...lovely jubbly. I'll have some of that 😄

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

I hate it when newer editions of software do away with useful functions.

WindowMovieMaker needs to be the old - XP-one, Windows 7 one is crap!! but you are still on XP.you get xp versions for 7 these days...

That was the big concession I had to make to get a fast  i-core processor- mega RAM PC, the cursed 7.

*Bunny, can you edit frames/layers at all in Image ready, or does that have to be done all beforehand in PS in the newer PS versions ? - that is doing my head in with CS!

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

Spooky! Was just about to mention:

The Animator's Survivor Kit

I got it for £4 at "fopp", but nearly got a hernia carrying it to work and to the bike, it weighs a ton!!

Ooooh, had only a read, never yet looked at the DVD in the back....

I have even more admiration now for hand drawn animations...

But your OH's anatomy book will do great as well...

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

Yes, I'm sure you can. It's been over a year since i've used PS7.

What exactly do you mean?

Which one do you use the most CS or earlier version?

Re: Gifs, pics and graphics

I need to sleep now. Let me know about Photoshop, as I do all my animation with CS.

I use PS7 just for some default action sets.

Good night, speak soon x
