We have a cleaner that comes in once a fortnight. Every time she gets here and starts with the hoover in the living room followed by a quick dust of the flat surfaces. She then sweeps and mops the tiles in the kitchen/dining room closely followed by cleaning the inside windows, mirrors, TV and pictures. Then she cleans the stairs and bathroom and then, if time allows, she'll hoover a bedroom or two until her time is up.
If only there was a way to stop her from yakking.
She uses her own sprays, polish, etc but our hoover. She doesn't have a key to our house and it is unlikely that she would ever be given one. The need would just never arise.

My cleaner colleague brought a product in this morning for us to use. Cleaning companies give us cheap nasty, and useless weak chemicals to use that do NOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Its getting annoying.

Something to discuss when you interview her. She may have a preference for certain brands and if you think they're good too then get them for her. Otherwise you provide the cleaning products.
If you're using a company they provide the cleaning mats (as rose says).
Make a list of what you want done on a weekly basis, then another list for monthly jobs. Ask about heights as well as some cleaners won't go on a short steps to clean the tops of pictures... elf n' safety and all that...

I dont interview staff,,its just a matter of someone bringing in something to use from home which i dont really believe in as if their cleaning products(the company) are not doing the job why should i bring things in from home. Since my cleaning company cut my hours and then seem to go on about more things they want done,I wont do anything for them,no overtime nothing. They treat you like dirt and then expect you to help them. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN IN MY BOOK.

Yes i know im not happy and its made me so angry dealing with companies who think they know everything but have no work ethics at all. Im actually really wanting to get out of cleaning as it can be so full of B***Y women and dim bosses. Its not me,,i sort of fell into it at a bad time in my life. Im not knocking cleaners at all GOOD CLEANERS and i know its a job yes but for some reason i have had so many people saying i can do better even at my age.

This cleaner uses her own stuff, unless the neighbours want me to borrow theirs.
