No, not me, the lady from the following article.

One mum who certainly won't be following any such rules is Bea Marshall, a mum of two boys who has given them a 'free for all' lifestyle where they can do what they want, when they want, including staying up late, not doing their homework if they don't want to, they can draw on the walls if they like, and even swear without reprimand.

She won't always be there to keep an eye on them, as they get older, she will come to regret it.
Some children can recognise boundaries but others can't and as they get older they will be right little monsters, sooner or later they will be told what they can and can't do by others which they will find very hard to accept.
I can see her friends banning her kids from their houses.

Loved the bit about cutting wires. Remember decorating one day and coming across 2 cables. Only one was providing power so I thought I'd remove the old one. Asked Mum to switch the power off, explained what I wanted to do and the reply "oh just cut one of them, dear" floated up the stairs. Umm, was she trying to tell me something? Took a look and cut through the lead covered one!.

My dog bit through a harness of wires in the car, and an internet cable in the house.

I've never been overly strict with my daughters, but when I said NO, I always explained the reason. I've never been a parent that said.."NO because I say so". Hopefully teaching them common sense more than giving them set rules, and showing them the possible consequences of their actions.

The behaviour of some of the children who go for swimming lessons at the health club I go to leaves a lot to be desired. You can't blame the children when the parents don't know how to behavethemselves.
My Goddaughter has a three year old daughter and if Grace is told not to do something, she knows that she hasn't got to do it.
I know that when children are born, they don't come with instruction manuals on how to bring them up but a lot of it is common sense but, sadly, a lot of parents don't seem to possess any common sense whatsoever.
