Crackpot ideas?

I've just read this page:-

Humans could move to 'floating asteroid belt colony' housing millions of people within 15 YEARS (the...

Some people live in a World of fantasy I'm sure? It takes us ages to get anywhere beyond this Planet never mind out to the Asteroid Belt.

There's no explanation of how the materials would be got out there or how the people would get there the do the building never mind get themselves out there.

There's a HUGE amount of inventive development work to do long before more than a handful of travellers make it out that far?

As to life on other Planets, Mr Spock said "It's life Jim but not as we know it" and that isn't far wrong.

The life on this Planet is strange in extremes of the environment. There are Glacier Worms that live on.... yes, you guessed it, Glaciers. They're all Black and if they warm up, they melt and disove in to a gooey mess. At the other extreme, there's the tubeworms and things that live near the underwater fumaroles.

So, what lives on other Planets with extremes of environments will be nothing like life as we know it?

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Crackpot ideas?

I've corrected your post for you:-

So, what lives on other Planets with extremes of environments will  may be nothing like life as we know it?

All you've shown is that the environment life has evolved in determens much of its form - why then would life that developed in a similar environment to that of Earth not be easily recognisable?

Crackpot ideas?

Mister Spock was comparing the "life" to that known by those on the USS Enterprise and so was I.

I've corrected your post for you:-

........that the environment life has evolved in determens determines much of its form.....

It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.
