It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

😡I saw that, CD.😡
I quite like Mabel.

It's Mabel at the table? Mabel is sooooooooooooo old-fashioned?
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

You're such a wet blanket.😡
A lot of old old names are back in fashion.

The name Mabel conjures up a vision of an aged spinster sitting at a table with her coat and a beret on sipping a cup of scalding hot tea she's holding with both hands and her elbows resting on the table.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

First female dog I had was called Pat, a black labrador
Then there was Tina the corgi, Suzie an old english sheepdog and her daughter Banshee
Mother in Law had a Bessie, Amy and Sheba, all Welsh Collies
As an alternative to Honey, how about Goldie?
‎20-05-2018 2:25 PM
My old dogs mother/sister was called Goldie.
Thanks for the suggestions but we decided to call her Jessie.
I loved Melfa, but while I'm sure it sounds lovely in a nice Welsh lilt, it didn't sound the same in a rough Geordie accent.

You are quite right Margaret...you do need the Welsh accent to make it sound nice. I didn't know that you are a Geordie. But I love Jessie...my granddaughter is called Jessica. But we call her Jessie, or Jess. I hope your Jess knows what a lucky girl she is!
I love the Geordie accent. We had a nice holiday up in Wooler last year, and I spent the whole time chatting to people just so I could hear them talk.😀

Jessie is a lovely name, and she is a very beautiful dog, let us know how she gets on!
