I know it is difficult if you are white! I would imagine however that she will be successful on appeal although the cost does seem excessive. But you and I both know that there would be outrage if the child were deported, my son was born outside of the U.K. and my wife is South African should I be worried?

Honestly, Astro are you really suggesting a two year old child is capable of defended her basic human rights? The child's  parents are British citizens and both hold British passports.

I wasn't suggesting for one second that the child needs to defend herself. Her parents didn't much care about being British when they lived in South Africa. But for some reason they want to be British now. Penny and bun?

Trying to work out the logic of this case - the child is being refused British citizenship because she hasn't lived here for 7 years - a bit difficult to achieve I would have thought when you are only 2 years old!
