Good afternoon, Ostrich.

There were a few catagories and quite a few have gone now. I started on the Q & A Board in the late 90's and ended up on the Nags head when the Q & A chat board was taken away from us. I did enjoy popping onto other boards, as there was some lovely posters and good games. Also nice things to read. I do think there were a few heated discussions and wind ups too, all of which unfortunately helped to distroy two boards.

I didn't recognise many of the names you said, but might know some of their ID's. I did love the Australian boards, especially the sig threads. A few of us went around the World on the boards and couldn't believe how many could talk and understand English. We made the mistake of using an online translator, which didn't work very well, according to the ones that spoke English. It was so funny when they told us what we were saying. lol

There are still some familiar names of some of the nice posters on here. It is so nice to see. I am still friends with some of the posters from the past on facebook and have met a couple in the past. My ID's were Squiggs, Angel-mist, Single Angel and another funny one, which I can't remember now, and the old email account has gone due to not signing in.

Was part of the popular couple Board Surfer? He coupled up with a couple of posters.

I hope you are having a good day. grin

I know of many who have passed away, so many great characters. (most I believe to be age related  reasons one way or another)

Does that mean this place only attracts OAP's? wink

Is Pete the Astronomer still about? He used to post some lovely photographs of the moon that he had taken himself. I remember how sad he was when his beloved doggie passed on, but he went on to give a loving home to another one.

I recall several surveys done some years ago regarding the age profile of various boards, by it's then members. Those boards included RT, FHG and a few years previous, the Nags

The Nags and FHG average results were in a few years of each other, being in the mid to late thirties

RT average was in the sixties, a difference of about thirty years

Given some of the latter posters veracity and difficulty with numbers, I suspect that was something of an under estimate even then.

Ebay's 'poster of the year' back in 2004 is now 33. Obviously getting on a bit dahlinks.

I think age Equates to experience which is why many youngsters seem obsessed with it, ie they have none and spout tripe! However fear not for your natural delinquency always shines through and will continue to do so dahlink.

It's odd that a couple used to have one running 'joke' about fhg being an 'oldies' board, all considered.

Experience without ability or intellect isn't much use.

I have to say I haven't noticed many younger people wishing they were in their sixties or seventies, but I have seen on some seniors acting like they were delinquent five year olds.
