20 years ago -Ebay Treasure Hunt

Does anyone else remember this? It was a mad, fantastic really fun month of treasuring hunting for prizes with a fantastic community spirit on the forum, we had such laughs everyday

i still have the mug the Ebay 'Elves' awarded that was design by one of the forum members a the time. It has been used every single morning since for my first cup of the tea of the day!

Not really in the Treasure Hunt - but i have USB powered Xmas lights that spell out 'ebay' which were sent out free to sellers in the early days as an Xmas gift, this was later replaced by a money credit from ebay to use on the site.

Now we get ? 

It did use to be a site to be proud of, where you willingly participated in joint ventures to grow the platform , and by word of mouth spread the joy of it to attract more members.

Ashamed, Guilty, Embarrassed - seem more suited words these days.
