"View seller's other items" is showing everything twice

Here we go again, another fine mess from whoever (or whatever) is in control of ebay's systems and software....

As of today, looking at any "view seller's other items"  brings up a page in which all listings are duplicated.

Does this mean that sellers are going to be faced with infuriated buyers when items are sold twice, to different people?

I am not seeing any indication of doubled listings when viewing sellers' "other items".

Any difference if you use a different browser?

Even if items are displaying twice on a certain page, that does not mean that the items can actually be sold twice unless there are two separate listings with different item numbers.

Looking at ebay this evening, it seems to have been fixed. But it was definitely happening - I checked about  20 users' listings. It's not the sort of thing that could be browser-related, must have been an ebay IT fault and presumably now repaired.

It is certainly possible that eBay changed something that caused listings to appear twice and then changed it again before I looked; eBay recently changed how promoted listings are treated, and how they display in certain situations, which could lead to some listings appearing twice (or not).

It is also possible eBay was testing something, and that was only affecting certain user accounts and not others.

Trying another browser is a way to rule out certain issues related cache or cookies; if the same problem happens in two different browsers it is much less likely due to a problem with one particular browser's history or settings.
