Widespread technical issues still not fixed after weeks

Some technical issues previously reported by many customers - and subsequently fixed by eBay - have returned. So as of approximately two weeks ago, I am again no longer able to place a bid, or 'Buy it Now', or enlarge/scroll through listing pictures, or expand drop-down filter menus etc. Ebay basically no longer functions for people on certain browsers/systems.

This is something that ebay has done since around 2 weeks ago. When this last happened, my system and browsers were fully up to date, as indeed they are now. Initial response from ebay was similar to the response people received last time, but last time, ebay subsequently acknowledged that the issue was at their end and fixed it. Furthermore, I have the following reply from 'Aarti' at ebay's tech team: "I have checked the details form my end and can see that there is no issue with your account and as there is a site issue is ongoing from our side ... that is why you are facing this issue, be assured we have already escalated this issue to our leadership team and soon this issue will get resolved."

I received this response on 29th September, yet still, nothing has changed.

Ebay: please advise when this will be fixed as promised as there are clearly others on various forums describing what are basically the same issues.

Widespread technical issues still not fixed after weeks

Is anyone else getting this bloody captcha puzzle almost every time I move around the site?

Yesterday I counted over 50 times, it's a pain in the neck and hands, I have arthritis so literally

It's draggy, slow and often doesn't work

I'm logged in yet I get this nonsense for everything, mid payment, looking at feedback, going to my shop front etc

It's tedious

Please sort it out eBay (as well as all the other glitches)

I use a high range of websites and not one is this bad

Thanks

Repeated Captcha requests or failures might be a sign that your browser is having problems saving cookies properly, or else a sign of a network issue. Using a VPN or a hotspot, or certain kinds of privacy software might also cause some issues.

Make sure your browser is up-to-date and has JavaScript enabled (and not blocked) and that cookies are not being blocked:

Try using a different browser or a private or incognito browser window and see if you run into the same Captcha issues. If not, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies once in your original browser.

If you are using an ad blocker, try temporarily disabling it to see if that makes a difference.

If you are using a mobile browser, try changing to a different browser mode. Try a desktop browser or a mobile browser in desktop mode.

Or try using the eBay app.

If you contact eBay directly, mention ALERT15299 to have your account added to the open ticket.

Try using a private or incognito browser window. If that allows you to navigate and use menus that otherwise do not work, try clearing your cache in your original browser, and if that does not help, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies. If the problem persists, try temporarily disabling add-ons to see if that makes a difference for you.

If eBay is not working with a specific browser or operating system (which one?), try another browser or try another operating system or another device.

While eBay may not work correctly with very old operating systems in some cases, if you can provide some specifics of your situation you may find that others are actually still using eBay with the same operating systems by changing browsers or changing settings or using different links to get the same things done.
