Is anyone else getting this bloody captcha puzzle almost every time I move around the site?
Yesterday I counted over 50 times, it's a pain in the neck and hands, I have arthritis so literally
It's draggy, slow and often doesn't work
I'm logged in yet I get this nonsense for everything, mid payment, looking at feedback, going to my shop front etc
It's tedious
Please sort it out eBay (as well as all the other glitches)
I use a high range of websites and not one is this bad
Thanks

Repeated Captcha requests or failures might be a sign that your browser is having problems saving cookies properly, or else a sign of a network issue. Using a VPN or a hotspot, or certain kinds of privacy software might also cause some issues.
Make sure your browser is up-to-date and has JavaScript enabled (and not blocked) and that cookies are not being blocked:
https://www.whatismybrowser.com/
Try using a different browser or a private or incognito browser window and see if you run into the same Captcha issues. If not, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies once in your original browser.
If you are using an ad blocker, try temporarily disabling it to see if that makes a difference.
If you are using a mobile browser, try changing to a different browser mode. Try a desktop browser or a mobile browser in desktop mode.
Or try using the eBay app.
If you contact eBay directly, mention ALERT15299 to have your account added to the open ticket.

Try using a private or incognito browser window. If that allows you to navigate and use menus that otherwise do not work, try clearing your cache in your original browser, and if that does not help, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies. If the problem persists, try temporarily disabling add-ons to see if that makes a difference for you.
If eBay is not working with a specific browser or operating system (which one?), try another browser or try another operating system or another device.
While eBay may not work correctly with very old operating systems in some cases, if you can provide some specifics of your situation you may find that others are actually still using eBay with the same operating systems by changing browsers or changing settings or using different links to get the same things done.

Ebay, sorry but I too am having some of the same problems (3 weeks now) as @touchwoodtoad. The drop-down menu (on the item page below the add to watchlist button) no long appears if wanting to add to a custom watch list. Clearing cookies/cache didn't do anything nor did trying a different browser.

Forgot to say an incognito window didn't do anything either.

I still cannot use ebay. I still have all the same issues. It never took them this long to fix before (after telling complainants that the problem was not with ebay), but this time, they just don't seem to be doing anything. I even checked with a neighbour and they have the same issues, but hadn't yet complained as they just assumed ebay would fix it. I'm guessing that many people will be assuming this.
Pretty much nothing works anyhow. I click on things and a line appears around the tab, but nothing happens. All browsers are up to date. It's baffling. They're clearly not taking it seriously (probably until they notice a drop in usage and sales).

Does ebay even read these posts? Ebay? Hello?

Which browsers have you tried? Which operating system?
Have you tried using the eBay app?

It's not my browser. It's ebay, just as it was last time before they accepted it was their issue and fixed it for all those having the same issue. They just don't seem to be doing anything this time. Getting worse and worse as a platform. They will surely be losing business. I'm on a mac with fully updated Firefox. I use the app on my phone, but I can't just use my phone indefinitely. I need to be able to sit at my desk on a monitor and use auction sites, ebay being the only one with these problems.

Hi
Thanks for reply but the issue is eBay.
Now a new glitch 'country of manufacture ' is not saving
Enter it and it vanishes almost immediately
Another problem causing issues selling to USA ...
Sort out the glitches eBay, we expect the service we pay for

Yes, I'm getting these too, along with all other issues I've described in this thread. I basically cannot use ebay any more on my mac, even though it's all up to date. It happened a while back for lots of users too, but ebay fixed it eventually, after it became obvious that the issue was at their end, not with people's browsers etc as they initially claimed. This time, ebay appears to be happy leaving customers unable to use their site on certain platforms I'm afraid as it's been weeks now. Not everyone wants to use ebay in-app on a screen 6"x3"!

Hi Ebay,
Any updates regarding the technical issues? Been nearly a month since I contacted you about the problems and still no nothing.

This is a member to member forum. There are a small number of ebay staff, who do read some posts and try to help. I doubt they read every single comment. In general, my perception is they can't really/often chase up the technical team - (but sometimes they can help with communication and understanding there.)
I've never joined, but the same ebay staff seen on here, I mentioned, do have some kind of a live group chat on Wednesday. Maybe you can ask there. Probably it would help if you have a reference number for your raised issue, if there is one.
Any chance you experience less issues using an international site e.g. ebay.com?

I'll try that (the live chat). Thanks.
