Where is the default search location stored? eBay search keeps changing back to an old postcde

Not sure really what category this is but the issue I am having is that sometimes - not always - when I search for something on ebay it shows the results with the distance from a postcode that I left 3 years ago, Since then I have had a new computer and I have updated all the addresses I can find in my profile but it keeps coming back. I've been discussing with eBay help team on chat and email for 3 days now and they either don;t understand the problem or suggest things that don't work. The latest was to clear cache and cookies and see what happens, but that didn't solve it. I downloaded a completely new browser and it was correct i.e. the new postcode

If you are using specific searches you have bookmarked or saved, the postal code might be stored in the page URL of your searches; or at least it was possible to do that in the past.

One place you can see this postal code is in your search results when you sort by distance. The country or postal code should appear as a link in the search results if you are using a desktop browser. Previously that link was in the upper right, but now I see it on the left side of the page just below the category tree where it says "Postage to [postcode]".
