Hello, I've had a problem with selling a buy-it-now item over the last two days. Someone made an offer on my coin, which I thought was too low, so I sent a higher counter offer. They then sent me an offer in the middle, and I accepted. However, the item didn't disappear from the 'Active' list, and didn't appear in the 'Orders (or Sold)' list, and I got a message that the payment was pending. So I de-listed the coin, and told the buyer there was a problem. I then agreed with him to re-list the coin for the amount he wanted to buy it for, and he bought it ok this time. The coin appeared in the 'Sold' (or 'Orders') part as normal, but was still in the 'Active' list, although there was a message saying it was sold (!), so I had to manually end the listing! I'm not sure what's going on with eBay at the moment. Has anyone else had similar problems?

eBay now keeps BIN listings active after an offer is accepted until the buyer has paid or the offer times out. It has been mentioned elsewhere the buyer has 24 hours to pay otherwise the accepted offer is cancelled and the item removed from their basket. It is supposed to deal with nonpaying buyers by keeping listings active. But in reality it is a confusing and unnecessary barrier to effective selling on the platform that will lead to timed out accepted offers and lost sales. eBay need to change this back to the way it was.

There do appear to be an increasing number of threads reporting similar problems with items not disappearing from active lists, not appearing in sold lists and so on.
According to this thread: https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Member-To-Member-Support/Sales/m-p/7657171#M229651 it appears to be "Glitch of the day" so it's possible, provided it's been brought to the techies attention, that it may be corrected in the near future. My initial guess was that it might be a parsing issue with eBay but it's more probable that a code release is the root cause - updates are usually released on a Friday and it's not unusual for issues to occur over the following weekend.
Never a dull moment on eBay is there? : )

This seems to be the glitch of the day, many are reporting this, so you are not alone.
As with all these temproary glitches it's just a matter of wating for them to be resolved, and then to be able to proceed and finalise the transaction

Well, as I say, I managed to solve the problem by de-listing the item, re-listing it & changing the price, and finally manually de-listing it after it sold. It took a fair bit of work!

Ah, this makes sense, and could help to make buyers pay a bit faster. But it is confusing that when you've sold something, it's still in the active list, and also doesn't appear in the sold column!

Ebay need to get rid of this - Please complain, if sellers want this fine, but it should as previously be optional and the button to turn it off should still work - the new system, which seems to currently be random is awful and is losing human contact/personal selling and sales . . . which works both ways because sales do not go through or someone else swoops in and buys the piece leaving a frustrated buyer - the system is idiotic.

I have just had the same experience today. Can contact the person who made the offer as it is stuck in the pending. EBay will really have to up their game as these sorts of problems put people off selling and buying. In the meantime I don't know what to do.
