Search results page unresponsive on an ipad

If I try to search for some items, let's say 'pens', on our ipad then the results page is so unresponsive that it is unusable. It seems to be spending almost all of it's processing power readjusting the position of the column containing the sellers' details and item number. This keeps stepping to the right until it disappears off the screen. The page remains unresponsive.

As I scroll down the page it is blank or the photos take an age to appear. If I try to go back and edit the search terms then the virtual keyboard takes ages to appear (sometimes never) and editing the line is impossible. I have to go back to 'MyEbay' and retype the search term.

It is an iPad Air2 - old but not ancient by any means, and works fine on other websites.

Re: Search results page unresponsive on an ipad

Any difference if you try another browser? Or the eBay app if your iPad supports it?

It’s exactly the same in Firefox and Opera. I’m not using the app.

Re: Search results page unresponsive on an ipad

Hi all,

Just wanted to say that we are still seeing report of the intermittent issue we had before, so this might be related to the issue you're referring to. Once this is resolved, I will let you know, and if the issue persists, we can take a further look.

Thank you,

Marco

I am currently away on my sabbatical, and will return in July. Please expect a delay in my reply

Re: Search results page unresponsive on an ipad

Thanks for engaging.

This fault is not intermittent and has been going on for some time. It seems to me that your Javascript is fiddling with the formatting, to which the iPad responds by changing the canvas size, to which the Javascript responds by changing the formatting... etc.
