Paying tax again on delivery when the tax has already been paid

Hi , I have to pay an enormous custom fee on the delivery of a purchase I have already paid VAT for.

Suggest you read this and see if this helps. Its buyers responsibility to pay and VAT and or Duty on items bought in to the uk.

If you paid import VAT when you checked out (so paid it to ebay), and now you are being asked for it again, that suggests that there is something wrong with the export documents attached to the package and so your Customs can't see it's already been paid.

You should see how you would be able to claim back the secod charge, probably from your own Customs as it was correctly charged by ebay.

If you refuse to pay it then the UK money back guarantee would not be available to you.
