Sent via Yodel a parcel from Sutton, Surrey containing glass item to buyer in Cumbria. Parcel size 45x12x10cms (17½”x 5”x4”). Tracking shows a parcel was delivered 9 days later on 13th Nov; last 6 days being at Carlisle depot. Buyer immediately left negative eBay feedback saying he received parcel of broken kettle, not glass item. I’ve subsequently obtained photos of the opened parcel, label used & courier’s photo of delivered parcel. Clearly parcel delivered had a doctored LABEL RE-PRINT label using my parcel’s tracking number. Every attempt at help was thwarted because there was evidence of a delivery (despite not being MY parcel). eBay’s feedback removal deadline was reached, but I'd already refunded buyer to avoid problems. Now Packlink have sent a copy of a form which I must get my buyer to complete even though sellers don’t have access to buyers' email addresses. Nightmare of long wasted hours, the fraud doesn’t seem to bother anyone.

Oh dear, that isn't good - sounds like the courier playing rugby with the packages again!
When I was in a similar position I seem to remember contacting the buyer (by text, then by phone) and they were happy to help me fill in a claim. I never got an explanation but I'm sure they have strange things happen in those sorting centers ... quite how one lot of contents can move into another parcel I don't know but it does look very suspicious.
And although your claim will be for a lost item (your item not having been delivered) you need to avoid mentioning it is glass or they may try to point to the https://support-ebay.packlink.com/hc/en-gb/articles/209034425-Prohibited-and-no-compensation-items declining claims for anything made of glass.

'you need to avoid mentioning it is glass'
Not very good advise to tell the op to claim the item was not glass when it was. Packlink ask for proof of the item sold with screenshots of the original listing.
They are asking for a DOR form to be completed (Denial of Receipt).
@hermanhouse if you go to the order and click on order details, underneath the name and address, it will say show contact info. You can use the Ebay e mail to contact them.

Eventually I was refunded, but not without a fight where I threatened court I recall ! My sent item was stolen/lost somewhere in Packlink's delivery firm and swapped, using my original tracking number, for a completely different item which my buyer left me a negative for..... Even eBay gave me a time-out I had to accept as "sorted" before they down-graded me !! It was all so obvious which no-one seemed to be interested in finding the culprit/s......
