I haven't been able to sell anything as each time I sign into my ebay uk account (which is fine) and then I click on sell to sell an item, it takes me onto the sign in page again. This is when the problem starts because when I sign in the second time then ebay seems to think I am located in US.
When I try to list something it has all the amounts in US $. So frustrating.
I have cleared all my cookies, deleted browsing data, selected GBP £, selected UK location, logged in and out of my ebay uk account and shut down my laptop all week. None of this works.
This started recently that after I sign into my ebay uk account and if I click on sell it asks me to sign in again and this is when it causes problems.
I have been trying to sell something for a week now but I can't because of the US $ issue as it won't let me select post by Royal Mail as an option it just comes up with all these American shipping sites I've never heard of!
Please ebay uk look into this problem as I am getting so fed up now I will close my account soon and go to Vinted instead.

This sometimes happens when you view or buy an item from an American seller, then everything is shown in US $$'s.
You need to log out completely, even shut your device down. Start up, and log into your homesite, https://www.ebay.co.uk and everything will be back in Sterling Pounds.
If it doesn't switch back, just refresh your page a few times, that will kick start it into showing the correct currency.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I did try that many times but it didn't work. That used to work for me but the last few months my account just stays in USD $.
Many thanks

I have the same issue, it is very annoying, not sure I can sell from ebay anymore if this doesn't resolve

It has happened to me too. I sign in on UK site and as soon as I click on sell it switches to US site.
EBay opted me into their Global Shipping programme and my problem started when I sold my first item.
I no longer receive the fortnightly reduced FVF listing offers.
I have followed all suggestions but still showing as US site to sell.
It will however let me buy postage labels but I have to use a different device.

This is happening to me too. Are these pages monitored by eBay technical staff?
It seems odd that there is no reply as people are talking about being unable to make eBay money yet staff aren't offering solutions

Yep! exactly the same issues???? Please Ebay.co.uk sort this out?

I used the chat thing (don't know if it was a human or bot) and when they weren't particularly helpful put "no worries I just won't bother" and disconnected... funnily enough they sent me a link to list my item that worked within 5 mins 😉

Believe it or not the threads on these boards are not generally monitored so you are unlikely to attract the attention of any technical staff at eBay. You could try the Community Team but the likely outcome is that 'the issue will be passed on for investigation', though you will never hear the result of any such analysis or action.
Best I can suggest to each of you is to try one or both of the following:
- Check all your addresses in your Account Settings (it's probably not this but worth a look)
- Do a 'dummy update' of your postcode. To do this run a search (any search - it's irrelevant what you search for) and top right of the page, above the Sort criteria, are the words 'Postage to' followed by a box with a postcode in it. Click on that and you'll get a pop-up headed 'Update your location'. Click on the Country drop-down menu and select 'United Kingdom - GBR' (yes it'll probably already have that displayed but you need to 'overwrite' it), then click on the Postcode box, re-enter your Postcode (again, to 'overwrite' whatever is currently held in the system), then click Apply.
Now I'm not saying this will definitely work but it might so it's at least worth giving it a go. There have been times in the past when my account has started showing listings in US$ after I've looked at something in the USA and the above method got my account back to displaying in £s.
Good luck.
And while I'm here I may as well call on the Community Team, so ...
dave@ebay anything in addition to what I suggested above?

It is a known issue and has been flagged thus. Not sure if there is currently a work around, but I could be wrong after @thesmokingrunner advice!

Hi thesmokingrunner,
Many thanks for your suggestion.
I've only got one address in my account settings and it's correct.
I tried overwriting my postcode as you advised but when I click on Selling it again took me to the ebay.com sign-in page. It's so frustrating. The only thing that worked for me was what someone previously suggested which was to click on the ebay logo and get to the screen with the Selling bubble on the right and then when I click on that then it works for me but it is just annoying that not all the Selling links work as they used to but I'll just do that now. Many thanks for your suggestion though as Im sure it will work for some people. Thanks.

Hi phb8_97!,
Does that mean that you have to click on that link each time you want to sell something or did it fix everything once you clicked on the link the one time?
Kind regards
