“Listings in Lights”

I contacted ebay customer service department to find out the names of the winners in their "Listings in Lights"

draw that took place just before christmas (2024). Customer services did not know about this competition. Does anyone else remember it or am I going mad

No, no madness,  Google remembers it searching with "Listings in Lights" +ebay although I'm probably not the demographic for the ad 🙂 described as something like ...

"Private UK sellers were invited to list items from November 2-6 with the hashtag #ListingsInLights in the title to have the chance at being featured in this event, plus a chance at winning one of 25 £200 eBay vouchers."

You are correct, this was an eBay event that took place last November.  Let me check into it and follow up for those competition result details. I'll post back once I have an update.

After linking in with the team for the event for Listing with Lights last November the winners of the draw were notified by email on the 4th of December. They were also able to confirm that you were one of the winners. Can you check both your ebay and personal email and let me know if you received the notice?

I got the email and tried to use the code but it said I couldn't use it for the product I wanted to buy. The product did not seem to be listed in the 'can't buy with this code' in the T&Cs. So I thought it may be a scam email, so contacted the community after having no luck with customer services.

Also as the product was a buy it now I clicked on it so had to purchase without the savings from the promotion. Is there a way round this in future

Apologies for the delay in my reply.

With vouchers and coupons on eBay the main categories excluded would normally be Property, Cars, vehicles and coins. I believe coins may have been missing from the terms so we do apologise for that but those categories will not accept vouchers/coupons when purchasing. I have made the team in charge of that coupon aware for future promotions.

You will be able to use it on other items outside of those categories and it is valid until the 5th of December 2025.
