Is anyone else unhappy with eBay's new messaging system ???

I've been a member of eBay for 20 years now...

Over the years they have made many changes, some good and some not so good...

This one of completely revamping the messaging system is NOT GOOD !!! ... and it is now a challenge to read and reply to my important eBay messages 😞

Why on earth did eBay have ruin the reliable and easy to use messaging system which worked flawlessly since 1995 and was easy to use...

The new format/layout is now horrible and skimpy... Now you can't even see the whole of any message you receive or send, I have a big 19 inch laptop and eBay have now reduced the area where my messages display to that of an basic Smart Phone ! - I have all this space on my screen now WASTED ! whilst I struggle to read all my massages in a small window in the tiny bottom right corner ???

This is far from acceptable - I want the option to revert back to the old original messaging format PLEASE.  

The old and original eBay messaging system was MILES BETTER in all respects and should have NEVER BEEN CHANGED.

yes the new message page is TERRIBLE please go back to the old one if its not broken dont fix it Ebay.

Has anyone experienced the issue of sending a message to a buyer to tell them you have posted their item, eBay then says buyer has reached out  about their delivery but as you used simple delivery we will deal with their enquiry directly but don't show you the buyers reply which could simply be an akowledgment of my message?

I agree. I'm told I have 78 messages, but when I click on Messages I only see the last two. When I click on either of them nothing happens so i can't see the full message. it is no wonder sellers are not answering messages from potential buyers because they can't see them

Try clicking on "Unread from eBay" or "Unread from members", and scroll down through the list.

The messaging on the app is terrible, tiny little slot that defaults to a ready to send mode if you stop typing for more than about 3 seconds, you then have to click back on it to get the cursor back and continue.

Having struggled with the minute size of the message system on my laptop for months I now register how daft it is to keep GenZ employed to change everything IT before they’ve grown up. I despair.

Yes, it's nearly a year since this new system took over, but I'm also still finding it fiddly & frustrating. I'm glad I don't need to send many messages.

It is bad enough on a laptop, so it must be even more of a fiddle on a phone. I don't know why they decided to put the mouse-sized message writing box right down in the bottom corner. It's so cramped and awkward - and like the last place you would expect to find it!

A few days ago I noticed the typeface for the messages has been changed to one with serifs, which looks even more spindly/harder to read than the previous, non-serif typeface. Obviously, you have to be a mouse with excellent eyesight to be able to cope with this system... 🐁
