Hi, can anyone that has a private account please check to see if the postage is being quoted for international buyers through the GSP program. I have had multiple buyers contact me in the last few weeks trying to buy stuff but they are told to 'contact the seller' rather than be quoted a postage price.
I've checked my account, my girlfriends and my parents and all are the same; no postage costs are being propagated for international buyers. I've also checked a few business sellers that I follow and their GSP is working fine so they are not being affected.
This is a really big deal and shows that lots of people are losing out on sales.
If an eBay rep reads this; when can we expect this to be fixed and is there a reason why this has happened? Has eBay turned GSP off for private sellers as a business decision?
Thanks!

I'm not using GSP, but as no-one else has replied - I saw a message on here, saying something like make sure the country of origin/manufacture etc. fields are filled in correctly.
If that doesn't help, I've no idea. Try customer services ...

Take a look here at this thread with eBay staff replying to similar question
not sure if any help and it is over a month old

Appreciate the replies.
I did stumble across that thread but seems it’s talking about just the USA. My accounts and the others I’ve checked are having problems with every country that GSP offers, none are quoting the postage costs so buyers can’t purchase anything.
I’m surprised there isn’t more private buyers having the same issue which makes me wonder if it’s limited to certain people?
I have also phoned eBay customer service and they were pretty useless. Said they’d look into it and get in touch with me within three days. This was at the start of the week and I still haven’t heard back.
Would love to hear from an eBay rep about this issue.

If business sellers don’t have this problem perhaps it’s something to do with simple delivery
@marco@ebay.com may be able to help tomorrow
you could always do your own int shipping but that’s not without its problems

I checked two listings and they give me prices for Singapore and Sri Lanka. What do you see likewise?
04-07-2025 9:45 AM
I tried it out using the listing you chose and I don't get any postage options on any countries. This is what I see when I use Singapore, its also the same for every country on every one of my listings.
I mainly sell items through the GSP to the US and Europe. The fact that these countries aren't working is really noticeable.

I was using ebay.com.sg - can you try with that?
Can you try with your girlfriends account on your listings (or vice versa) i.e. not the account which is selling?
Do you see anything at all/if so what Reasons; when logged in to the item seller account - https://www.ebay.co.uk/bmgt/blockedbuyeractivities
These are all very much educated guesses, trying various things to work out what the issue is. If you are looking for an exact, quick answer - I can't provide it.

Yes, eBay.com.sg seems to work and shows the postage costs. I did try Netherlands and Germany as well as a few others too and neither of those work still unfortunately.
I’ve tried two other accounts whilst being logged into mine and both of those are the same as mine. The eBay guy that I spoke to on the phone also had the same problem also so it isn’t an issue with cookies or cache or anything like that.
There is nothing entered in the blocked buyers list so no problems there.
I appreciate your help. Even though eBay have been tagged multiple times they’ve chosen not to respond. I don’t expect anything to change to be honest, I feel it’s a bigger problem than just me. I think most people won’t realise that there’s even an issue; it’s only when a buyer contacted me that I realised myself.
It’s really not good.

Fine for me on ebay.de and ebay.com - went thru to checkout on the latter.

That’s really interesting, I’ve just tried it in incognito mode on eBay.de and ebay.com and both work fine, as your screenshots show.
I think the problem is with ebay.co.uk
I wonder if you go onto ebay.co.uk, can you replicate the same? So UK to any other country through the eBay.co.uk website?
I think that’s where the problem is. Before I could check and tell people what it would cost them, whereas now I can’t.
Therefore, GSP must be working for the most part.

There is something on ebay specifically called "the blocked buyers list"; hopefully you don't mean that, as that wasn't the link I provided.

Oh no, I just referenced it wrongly. It was this page, there’s nothing entered.

On ebay.co.uk I get -Check item description or contact seller- for USA or Germany postage.
04-07-2025 6:14 PM
Yes, that’s what I thought.
So the issue is with eBay.co.uk and propagating postage costs from that website in particular.
In conclusion, GSP is probably working for the most part.
If an eBay rep sees this, there’s definitely a problem with eBay.co.uk and the GSP postage quotes.
Appreciate your help with this xyz307xyz and taking the time to investigate.

You could put in a comment on your listings like
"If no postage can be determined for your location, please try viewing the item from your own country's ebay site or from ebay.com"
e.g. ebay.com will show postage for Germany fine.
You could add it quickly via Bulk Edit.

Is that an alternative correct tag? I thought tags didn't have ".com"
