For several days i have been unable to buy anything on eBay for android.

In my eBay account in the Android app I can search and see products BUT the Buy Button is not visible.  I can see all of my purchase history and all my messages but in the Buy Again feature the Buy Button is no longer available.

My account works as normal when I log in on my PC and I can buy things as normal so I infer that my account is not blacklisted.

This problem started on Friday 24 January.  I have re-installed the eBay app on my android tablet and the problem persists.

We have received other reports of this issue with images not showing, buy it now button, make offer and add to watchlist options not showing on the eBay app. There is a ticket logged with tech and its currently being looked into. I will add your account to the ticket and once there is an update I will post back.

Hello Kat

The device in question is a Samsung Galaxy S2, Model SM-T819. It is running the latest update for this model: Android 7.0.

By the way, eBay works OK on my phone which is running Android 12.

The latest eBay app version is no longer compatible with android 7. It actually requires OS android 10 and above. If you have another device with android 10 and above you can check the most recently updated eBay app version and see if you are able to purchase as normal. 

I can see @raevens8 you mentioned you have android 12 on your phone and its working ok.

Check to see if your app is updated to the latest version which is 6.205.0.1.  Try closing the app and restarting your device and can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Yes,

I have done this all.

Updated to most recent app version, uninstall, reinstall, clear cache,
clear data, deleted and relisted items.. nothing works and been like this
since end of January. It worked 10o% fine before that.

I have lost so many buyers to this issue because they use the app and now
buy from others. This is uncalled for.

It acts like I have restrictions on or my buyers can't buy using the app
due to location but they have bought prior to January 25th when this all
started


You need to roll back that update.
