Ebay Simple Delivery Option has vanished

Simple Delivery Option has vanished.  When I try to list something there is a message 'Simple Delivery is unavailable for this item'.  It's a book! and no different to the 100's of others recently listed.

I can add my own postage option, but since I've been 'converted' by ebay to 'Simple Delivery' I don't want to mix up the 2 systems.

Any thoughts?  I'm resigned to using Simple Delivery now, so negative comment s about it will not be useful.

Friday is eBay's maintenance day, when those up in eBay Towers HQ in CaliforNIA are tweaking and installing new systems.  It's still very early hours of the morning there,  so less disruption for the American members,  but sending things askew and awry here in the mornings in the UK.

It will be back to norm soon / later.

Others have said the same.   Friday is maintenance day for ebay so probably a temporary glitch.

Same issue here on 2 accounts simple delivery is there but as soon as you start to fill in any information the option just vanishes and "unavailable for this item" hope it's a temporary glitch I got loads to list

As above in my post,   it's Friday's maintenance day sending things awry.

Try in the afternoon or later on in the day,  it should be back to norm, by then.

Oh crumbs, are you saying all 480 current listings have reverted to Custom Postage ?

Peeps are just reporting they are unable to list new listings with SD , as only Custom Postage is showing,  those I'd presume ,  would be the ones to auto change,  when things are back to norm.  🤔

I have the same issue. I have just had to put time away and pause all sales until I have time to go through my 100 odd listings and manually amend.  Ridiculous!

It's happened to me too.  I listed something yesterday with compulsory simple delivery.  Which was a good deal for the item. I want to reduce the price but if I edit the listing or try to make a new one it won't let me use simple delivery.

Same here, I have reported it as a technical issue to eBay. A little frustrating at the moment, though fortunately I only want to do a few revisions.

Are eBay actually going to sort this today I went to relist an item all the simple delivery options were there I relisted the item with simple delivery chosen the buyer bought the item and it had reverted back to custom postage after it was listed with simple delivery

This is a nightmare. Can't list anything because 'simple delivery' isn't available and custom postage is a bit cumbersome now and can't revise any listing because the delivery disappears. Have phoned ebay and apparently it's a glitch and they don't know when it will be resolved but expect it to take 24-48 hours!

It's a question many are asking, and all we know from CS is that eBay are aware and working on it.

It's a nightmare that's for sure,  many look like  they're resigned to list tomorrow !

Keep checking this forum,  I'm sure once   ( if ! ) it's up and running,  there will be many posts here to announce the fix !

Seems fixed for me now! Hopefully for good (until the next time) 😅
