Can't pay due to wrong location

I have several items in my basket, all UK sellers and I am in the UK with ebay UK account

When I try to pay I am told that due to my location I cannot buy these items.

Clearly an error and a bit irritating (probaly made worse by foolishly trying the virtual assistant route!

Any idea when it might be fixed?

Not had problems myself spending this weekend (PP & Visa) and that error is new to me, but can I check at what point in the purchasing process does the message occur ... is it at the very end of Checkout where eBay is contacting the payment provider, or is it prior to that?

Presumably you have not moved house or updated card/eBay account addresses or expired cards.  No typos in the delivery address?

Is this a problem specifically for the app or just on the website, or both?

Have you tried to purchase items separately to see if there is one particular one which causing the issue?

Does it fail for just a single payment method?

Items from two different sellers in my cart, I have tried to pay for each individually, no change

I have used my Macbook at home (both Safari and Chrome), i-phone via one of my workplace wi-fi s and my base PC (chrome) at work

Still the same message so pretty sure not a cookie or browser issue.

I have asked one of the sellers to invoice me, will ask the other when I get time.

I'm still getting messages, updates and offers etc as normal. Message comes after pressing Go tocheckout blue button

The message is:

Checkout error

The item you are trying to purchase is not available for purchase in your location. You cannot buy this item.:e228392-1260494x;

I'll try to speak to a human being later.

These are in Netherland from a buyer I've used many times

I gave up on the UK items and bought directly from another website.

Oddly I've also bought couple of items in between with no issue whatsover

As a test I also tried to buy 225848608716 from a UK seller  (similar to the Netherland items) and the due to location canoot buy message came up again, so it is patchy and irritating!

I was checking that last item number there, and I didn't find an obvious reason for you to be getting that error. So, I've just reported this for you, so the technical team can look into it. Once I get an update on it, I will post back here to let you know.

This must be a real mind **bleep** for the technical team (or they are all on holiday) as both of us have reported it and there is still no resolution.

E-bay still sending me reminders that these things are in my basket - lol!

Just a thought, check your postal location is set to united kingdom (go to postage LHS of listing click on see details and under post to me make sure UNITED KINGDOM is selected

All checked and confrimed as UK (as did e-bay customer service)

Re: VPN = No, I contemplated this and tried at on home netweork, work network and out on 4G with mobile, still same result, also Paypal and Apple Pay the same.

Amusing to find that a non-swear word (at least in English) was bleeped out!!!

Just a thought ... has this account ever at any time been Registered in the USA .com site and then transferred to the UK Location at some later time ?? (BTW =now no longer possible to transfer account details between sites) but any remnants of previous US registrations are known to throw up error messages on occasion.

I am having the some problem as the author.

My account has been UK registered for 20 years, i have UK address only, and since last Saturday i can not buy items from UK sellers - I can not even bid on these items on auction listings.

"Attention buyer

The item you are trying to purchase is not available for purchase in your location.  You cannot buy this item.{e233551-1260483x}

And no, i do not use VPN and my IP as well as registered location is UK .

I have contacted support, and basically was told that i am an Idiot and my account was registered in US and their solution is to close the account and open a new one. 

So i cleared cache,opened brand new ebay.co.uk account and filled up with all my details . Guess what :), same error - according to ebay support my new account is US  registered as well. Helpless.

Any update or solution would be highly appreciated.

Are you absolutely sure that you were on ebay uk when you registered your account?

Same situation as me so do not feel 'gaslit'!

E-bay promised to help and have done nothing, fortunately not every hting I buy is affected which reinforces my believe it is an ebay glitch.

Ive had this problem for a week I was in turkey the week before can't help but think it's more than a coincidence
