App not working, says update and won't.  Just stuck in a loop of trying to update and it saying it has the latest version. Whatever you did put it back the way it was

samsung are not upgrading android OS now after 9.0 so taking the app off and back on makes no difference as already stated by a few, other apps work so must be ebay problem

So anyone like myself with an older phone will no longer have the app? My ios version is 15.8 with no update available.

will not be able to make new listings with photos and ebay turnover down wonder why? Listen to your customers ebay, the app does not work so no income (and can not to re-installed)

Hello, my iPhone 7 cannot be updated to anywhere near IOS17. What is the solution other than the browser, because I am not buying another phone just for this?

this seems a really odd thing to do. Been on eBay since I think 2003 with no issues, so why in 2025 have you pressed the self destruct button given you rely on sellers and buyers to earn money? Strange…

Mine is saying the same.. It looks like ebay will be uninstalled for ever because I'm not getting a new phone!

EBAY WOULD HAVE BEEN FULLY AWARE OF THE FALL OUT BY LIMITING ACCESS AND NOT BRIDGING THE UPDATE TO INCLUDE OLDER SYSTEMS.

IT'S JUST ELITIST TO ASSUME THAT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD TO UPGRADE THEIR PHONES. IT'S SO CLASSEST AND LIMITING. i GUESS THEY DONT MIND LOSING CUSTOMER BASE TO OTHER ONLINE RETAILERS!

I'm on a Galaxy S8 and have this issue today. Incredibly frustrating to have no warning, especially as I have active listings.

Sorry, that's not good enough, it worked yesterday, it should work today, I've tried all their suggestions, still not working, they will be loosing their customers/sellers at this rate

I'm having the same issue it just stopped yesterday and says current version unsupported. On a p20 Pro. 

I'm not buying a new phone just to use ebay which means I won't be spenting any money with the platform.

Read somewhere developers are told not to bother with older phones when they are writing their code for apps, white goods have to last 10 years or more now with parts available to keep them going, tech companies should be made to follow the same rules, why are my banking apps / game apps / other apps still working?? Ebay wake up and sort this please, that is what we are paying our fees for is it not?

C'mon this ain't fair for a huge number of people, my app was working perfectly fine and now I'm getting the same messages. Not everyone can afford a brand new phone or keep upto date with the newest android 10.

Its typical ebay behaviour.Rushing through an update before properly considering its implications.

When i rang ebay i had a hell of a job to get them to even admit there is a problem at all.

I (as well as countless others i imagine) am now it the same position as yourself, having to buy a new phone just to be able to use ebay again.

Them saying it is still possible to use ebay is absolute rubbish .Trying to use ebay on a phone without the app id almost impossible.Nothing displays rigjt and most of the filters are missing.

Very very unhappy user.

Phone runs on ios 15 and no further upgrades are available, the problem IS a technical issue with the ebay app. Your tech team need to consult with apple and android and make sure the app work with all current operating systems, not just the most up to date versions as these are not available on older hardware.

No other apps that I use have failed to work so it is clearly not a problem for competent software developers.

The latest version of the eBay app (6.194.1.3) was updated February 4th 2025.

The latest app update was the 4th of February 2025 and it shows in the play store

It may not be showing you the most recent if its not compatible with your current operating system.
